Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

A bio-economic EU
A bio-economic EU
I would like to see a future where people have access to and purchase food that is largely plant-based, varied and provide elements for a healthy diet. School education includes learning about how food is produced and how to produce it with minimum environmental damage. Agro-ecology is mainstream in agriculture. The EU is largely independent from fossil fuels and uses less and renewable energy.

I would like to have a flying car that would allow me to go very quickly from one point to another.
MY PRESENT, YOUR FUTURE
MY PRESENT, YOUR FUTURE
Why can we live the way we do? Why can we go to the supermarket and buy food? Why can we go to the shopping center and buy clothes? Why can we turn on the water and have clean water, turn on the light and have electricity in our homes? Why can we know what is someone doing thousands of miles away? Why? And at what cost? Every action comes with a price, and every decision has consequences. We go to school, high school, and college to study...But does it make sense? We study for a future we won't have. We work for a retirement that will not come. We have dreams that will never become true. Where is the matter in thinking about the future and stopping living the present? Do whatever you feel you must do. Stop thinking about an uncertain future. Because climate change is just around the corner. It's a storm that is coming: we see the clouds, we notice the wind and the sun is starting to hide. Its effects are real. Is there still a chance of a future? Of a future in which we can go swimming in the sea and see fish and turtles and dolphins. A future in which cars are not all that we see. We see mountains, trees, animals, snow, and rain. We hear the birds singing and the waves breaking. There is a society in which everyone helps everyone, in which there is no place for racial, religious, or gender discrimination. A society in which social media does not have such a big role and people spend more time doing real things and not in front of a screen. Propitiating volunteering, organizing cultural activities, and raising awareness among the youth are some small steps for this future. Let our voices be heard and our biggest dreams become true. Be the change you wanna be.
A new hope for the next generation
A new hope for the next generation
It's 7th October 2040. Today is the first day of work of my son T. Only one year passed after his master degree and he is now employed in a company requiring him creativity and technological knowledge. The war, the energy shortages, the populistic policies of 20 years ago are over and we started now a new era of progress and hope. Obviously, a lot of pain and investments were necessary, but now those days are over and we are hoping again for a peaceful future (p.s. you said "What would you like that future to be? " - This is not realistic)
an ageing EU that needs to take care of elders
an ageing EU that needs to take care of elders
An ageing Europe taking care of elders and fit to have them included in the processes. COVID has demonstrated how EU, that gets older, doesn´t care much about the elders. EU around elder associations move so technological changes don´t forget about them (now everything is done electronically, IT-based but institutions and countries are not providing them with the posibility to adapt to the technologies. Even doctor appointments need to be done electronically and this is difficult for people with alzehimer, .... COVID has impacted highly in this collective and many underwent clear physical and metal deterioration, but institutions are not taken care. So the future that I like will be a future where everybody is included, we don´t forget population groups because are not considered useful anylonger.
A happy peaceful future (Mutlu huzurlu bir gelecek )
A happy peaceful future (Mutlu huzurlu bir gelecek )
I have a fixed house, a fixed job, my car, my family peace. I don't want anything else. My eye is never high and I won't be able to be.
PEACE (peace )

Inclusive global community
Inclusive global community
I would like a more inclusive future with more social cohesion and less hate between people in different groups. I can imagine that through continuing the increase in education levels, and continuing globalization, people feel more united in the coping with the challenges humanity faces. For this to happen, international cooperation between countries would need to increase and deepened - and solidarity strengthened. I think it would be important to deal with the role of digital and other technologies to make sure they contribute to connecting people rather than to polarisation. Instead in this future people would be connected in positive online communities where they exchange knowledge and information, but where there are also robust and trusted sources of information available to everyone.
Umutsuz Vaka (Umutsuz Vaka)
Umutsuz Vaka (Umutsuz Vaka)
People think the future will be more advanced and more comfortable. But as far as I'm concerned, humanity is preparing its own end. And I don't think of a promising world in the future. A lot of things have changed in our lives with the advancement of your technology. That's why people are lazier now. They are more reluctant to do things and it affects the life of the whole world. I think it's very helpful that we're developing, but people are exploiting it because they don't have the right education. I am inclined to believe that the future is as it was in the past life. I imagine a more relaxed world where people talk to each other face-to-face, that everything is not the answer to war. But I don't think the future world is so refreshing. Because people always want more, and I don't think it's a changeable undertaking. But despite this, I'm inclined not to lose hope.
Education is the key
Education is the key
In an ideal future, education of the next generation should be the top priority. Investing in the education of children and young people, as well as of adults, can ensure that democratic values remains at the centre of our society, social bonds are reinforced, green values grow up as part of people's everyday, digitization is an opportunity for all and disinformation/polarization loose power. An educated generation can embrace changes, has opportunities to bloom and can contribute to a prosperous society. We see today that demcracy is loosing strenght and people seem not be caring too much about this, they are more concerned about their present: they do not have the capability to think long term. This is reflected also in political choices.
Human future (Human future)
Human future (Human future)
I imagine the future where the care and human development is prioritised - where healthcare and education jobs are the highest paid and most prestigious, where mental and physical wellness is the main consideration - and sufficiency in terms of material possessions.
Family in the happy country
Family in the happy country
I will be 32 years old in 2040. I currently live in Hungary, but this may not be the case in 20 years. It has always been important to me to live in a sustainable, forward-looking country. That's why I think we, young Hungarians, need the help of the European Union. Please help us, tell the government to build a country with a visible, positive future. Due to a national shortage of teachers, our education is inadequate. Which came about because teachers are paid very little. However, I have a question. Viktor Orbán and the government party say that teachers' salaries depend on the European Union. Which I know isn't true. That's why I'm asking for your help. Help us! I want to live the future in a sustainable country, where my calendar is not filled with demonstrations, but with various programs filled with happiness.
