Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

#OurFutures stories by EU citizens
an unrealistic future (neuresničljiva prihodnost)
in the future, I want not just technology but more on nature and ecosystem preservation, the importance of nature ahead of technology. Technology would become more advanced, sending people to space to find a new planet for immigration, viewing the individual rather than the multiplicity of people, reducing the virtual world, social networks and more person-centred and collective activity.
Healthy and happy life
I have a beautiful home in countryside, with a garden, where we grow our own vegetable. I have a steady job that I love, partner and a family. We are financially stable. The climate changes are notable, but managable, the government and world leaders finally took some serious action, which prevented the planet from heating up. We are slowly healing back the Earth, preserving wild life and resources. Permaculture is an important value and there is more and more small local business that provide healthy food, instead of big corporations.
A bright and optimistic future where human beings are (Svetla in optimistična prihodnost, kjer je človek človeku človek)
At employment level: without constant rushing, fulfilling, creatively, it is precisely the challenges, and it’s just resonance, that people, the brilliant of genuine relationships, are at the forefront. At family, friendship level: time for each other, time to stop, listen, time to care for oneself, your physical and mental health. At global level: a world that we do not completely destroy, preserves a beautiful and intact nature, I want politicians to stop behave as kindergarten children and stand together for the benefit of all.
Journey on a beautiful day (Pot v lepši dan)
I want good weather and regulated pensions, as well as time for myself and in peace. I would be very happy to be able to spend time at sea away from people and stress. Energy seems to me to be very important, as it is crucial for the survival of the whole planet and changes are visible from day to day. I want people to engage in politics, vote and submit their opinions, as only in this way can we get the country we all want. However, it must be the task of the wider authority to enable all people to do so evenly. It seems to me important to preserve culture and national awareness, but cooperation at global level is important.
