Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

The future for my children (Prihodnost za moje otroke)
In 2040, my children will be adults. Of course, I want the best future for them, but the current situation does not promise us too beautiful and a simple future. In 2040, I want to see enough food for all in the world to reduce the impacts of global segregation. I also want people to learn to live tolerant and contiguous lives.
Quality of life (Kakovostno življenje)
In the future, I would like everyone to be able to live in as little deprivation as possible, or young people could also be able to start moving from adolescence to adulthood as normally as possible, without significant shortages. This means, above all, making it easier for individuals to become independent or start living in their own homes, where housing at reasonable prices or rents would be too high and would make it easier for individuals to survive and save more easily.
Problems resolved as a Union (Problemi rešeni kot Unija)
What I want for the future of Europe is to minimise misunderstandings and conflicts between countries. In order to avoid scepticism and competition between countries, as they are currently developing. I believe that Europe as a Union will continue to exist for a long time if people are connected with each other and act as a union. Global warming is increasing, which will lead to people moving, as is already happening. The white population does not reproduce enough due to occupational pressure and careless abortion. Other races, such as the Muslim population, will start donating in Europe. The indigenous white population is shrinking, leading to clashes, tension and reduced personal freedom. I want living conditions to match that the white race will not fall too much. Europe’s future is uncertain and difficult. Political tensions are increasing. Countries have already been liberated, which I think will be a very common thing in the future. I want Europe to remain a union and to behave like a union by holding together. I am afraid of the collapse of society, which will not happen if we start valuing each other.
A beautiful future? (Lepa prihodnost?)
In 2040, we live in a society that is not condemned and free of prejudice. We all have equal opportunities in 2040 and we are equally accepted. Society is much more mature than it was in 2022, people are more friendly, solidarity and tolerant. We help people know that we can only survive if we care for each other.
The future of 2040 (Prihodnost 2040)
In the future, I want people to be peaceful and more connected, not only through apps, but also personally. In order to reduce the burden on people with things that are beyond the control of war, politics, and not to divide us so much. That the media does not affect people as much as it is now. Why would people deal with things over which we have no influence?
Europe where refugees do not differ based on their skin color
I hope that in 2040 people will be equal all over the world. I hope to see European countries accept the refugees not based on their skin color or some other stupid characteristic as we are all humans, we are all created equal and we all strive for same things, which are crucial in order to survive. I feel sad when I see my own government state something as absurd as “those refugees from Ukraine are not the same as the ones from Syria”. Here we can see some elements of hatred against people with darker skin, here we can see that people that are culturally more similar to us are more welcomed than those that are different, when speaking of their religion, culture, language etc. It makes me quite worried when I see something as cruel happening still in 21st century. Did we learn something from the past? I am concerned we have not. Do we want to see the history to repeat? I am sure we do not. I am positive that we have come a long way since the last war and segregation based on the color of the skin, but if we do not take actions and fight fore equality we might return on the old paths. It is our responsibility to speak aloud when such crimes happen. No country should not close its doors for people that are coming for better life, running away from the war zones. All that because if we do not accept someone striving for peace that actually makes us supporters of war, as we all know that participating in war with weapons, killing people is never the right way. We are all the same race, why do not we help each other and grow together instead?
The future of 2040 (Prihodnost 2040)
I want a future in which people can finally participate and work for each other, not that we are increasingly remote and closed. I am also keen that politics/policies will not put young people at a disadvantage in my life and I hope that in the future the situation will become better, both economically and politically. However, I think this view is very optimistic.
Living (Življenje)
I want a future where there would be less pollution, that the carbon footprint is reduced and that nature is preserved for many future generations. We would like to see us act more in a direction that does not harm nature and that natural sites such as glaciers could continue to conserve animal species.
Democratic Europe (Demokratična evropa)
In 2040, I want to continue to live in a democratic society. I hope that after periods of crisis as it is now (covid-19 crisis, Russian invasion...), we will not witness a repetition of history, with reference to the arrival of any totalitarian systems in power. In order to avoid this, we need to maintain zero tolerance for such movements, namely, I believe that in some parts of Europe they are not excessively distant from such movements. That democracy should continue to be a practice and not just a pretext under which different interests of individual leaders hide. The autonomy of the media, the right to express opinions, the right of women to vote, all of which are the privilege that people have chosen in the past, is our duty not to take this for granted. However, my announcement remains optimistic, as I believe that my generation (young people) is much more aware of what our predecessors were. From this perspective, I believe that we will continue to live in a democratic society, where every citizen or member of a given community will have a say, the possibility of expressing satisfaction and dissatisfaction in symbiosis with autonomous media, which will act as a means of pursuing the interests of all and not just a handful of people in power. However, in order to achieve my announcement, it will be necessary to do what to do. The main thing is that young people are educated about the media, about politics and that they are actively participated in politics, as it is the guise of democracy which, according to my assessment, has not been used best in recent years, so there is some dissatisfaction for which we have been co-responsible by everyone who has not done anything to prevent the current situation from emerging.
