Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

Simple, but happy.
Simple, but happy.
After almost two decades of wars, climate crisis, pandemic and economic crisis, there will be new arising of hope and togetherness. Society will be changed deeply: new forms of community, more co-living, transformed family structures, less urban agglomerates, back to a somewhat simpler but happier life. There will be more sharing of goods, spaces and "belongings" instead of consumerisms and individualism. There. will be a stronger connection, a re-connecting to core values and the sense to work and live not for economic growth, but emotional and spiritual growth. It will no longer be a narrative of "giving up" something but go "gaining" new things, when talking about how less is more... Changing the way how we live in communities impacts how we shape society on a political, ethical, societal level. Change comes from below.
Happy Aging
Happy Aging
I have just turned 82 and I feel blessed to live in a communities that allows me to stay alive and connected although I am suffering some ag-related ailments. What I like are the common meals with people of different generations and the meaningful discussions that we are having. I still "work" as a Coach -just limited hours, read a lot and have started a regular group meeting for story listening.
the days to come
the days to come
In the year 2040 we will improve social welfare and social coexistence between all people for a better collective mind. We will also have a chieved the environmental sustainability goals that will help fight global warming.
Thriving at life and work
Thriving at life and work
I imagine a world where kids would freely play on the street, full of energy in clean nature. Smiling, laughing, being free. The nature is full of color, air is clean, birds are singing. Parents work with energy, enjoy their work. They have enough free time to play with kids. There is no war. This is a world of social justice. Equal rights for all. The world full of opportunities... What has changed? People have changed. There are less exhausted, burned out, sick... Climate has changed (the air is clean, there are no CO2 emotions caused by humans. Biodiversity is huge.
Healthier future
Healthier future
I imagine improved future where we wouldn't have to think about environmental hazards anymore. That would be a controlled issue and people would have healthy attitude towards Earth. Our children wouldn't have to worry so much about global warming and polluting anymore.
Mobile Europe (Mobilna Evropa)
Mobile Europe (Mobilna Evropa)
This is 18 years old and is not in fact as far as possible. One is what I want, but one is how I think it will be. This could be the case, i.e. a utopic performance: urban mobility, or sustainable urban mobility, is currently an area of great interest to me. It would be important to reduce the ownership of passenger cars in absolute terms, or to seek other improvements in the area of public transport, somehow undermining this symbolic value of cars. In other words, the fact that you have a car is no longer a status symbol, but only a functional thing, if any. However, it would be possible to abandon this functional aspect because it would have a well-organised and integrated public transport that is accessible to all. Even for the socially weaker; appropriate and accessible to all individuals, regardless of any discriminatory or marginalised group, such as persons with disabilities, other people with disabilities, children, the elderly, employees... public transport would serve all their needs, meaning that it should be fast and efficient, accurate, reliable, clean, comfortable and pleasant. You are happy to go to the bus to drive. Another issue is the integration into a wider system and at local level, and then in a certain area of Europe, but, at the same time, accessibility and rural environments and urban areas and, consequently, some relief and decentralisation of urban environments and, therefore, some general utopic satisfaction with the mode of movement. In addition to this more environmentally friendly public transport, this would mean: or some buses, trains, car-sharing shapes, in addition to walking and bikes of course, in order to have a good modality and a culture of walking and cycling in order to get more involved in our lives. That is, these means of transport would be more sustainable, of course as regards materials and all exhausts. That is to say, that is now a dissenting factor in the use of buses for a long period of time, including trains which have some exhausts and which operate by means of internal combustion, but are provided in repair and are used at all times, or the production of new, electrical ones. At the same time, there is a great deal of embedded carbon in these electrical parts because they are one of the new parts making up this massif, which produces very high carbon plus recycling of these parts at a very early stage and, in essence, we are not yet able to recycle them as efficiently as possible. In such a way that the utopic view would be to place the emphasis on the wheel, walking and then these shapes, which would be electrical for the time being, because it is also easier to generate electricity in more environmentally friendly ways. And trains and buses, salvages and those cars that would stay. Practically all means of transport that would still be accessible to all as well as to certain service providers. So I want it and I hope it will be. This is, in essence, an unrealistic idea because development is too slow, but rather in terms of development, not so much technological, but rather concerns about the development of the welfare state and the economy, because this still works to a great extent in such a way that things are profitable, including transport, is still seen as a way of earning, which should not be. Whereas public transport and public health, as well as education, must be at the service of and for people, as these are things that need to be available to the wider community. But how is it possible now? In particular, the focus is on education, educating younger people (in primary schools already, with some hours of teaching, dealing with understanding the care of a human being, reciprocity and this transition or understanding of a sustainable way of life). This is mainly because they are children who will grow up in the world and who will become adult people, and they are the ones who have to bear these changes and then integrate them everywhere throughout their lives. The school is not only an educational establishment, but also education. Because children bring some patterns from home, this is too little. When children learn something at home, they do so at home, but when they learn something at school, they bring home and can extend to their parents, grandchildren and midwives, and these networks can spread quickly and this is what is essential for any change and for a good Europe.
More care for all of us and all the world
More care for all of us and all the world
I wish much more solidarity, emphaty, connectedness and selfregulation and responsibility. I my personal case that means more openess, more selfregulation and resilience. I see in 20 years me, with more wisdome and resilience contributing and working in better world and for better world.
Better quality of living due to personal strength and openness
Better quality of living due to personal strength and openness
The future will bring better living, more positive news, more strength on a personal level as well as inner peace.
Faith in the future

In 2040 true equality is achieved, there is no more gender pay gap and women and men are equally represented in the work sphere, as well as all races. All work is paid the same no matter what your profession is, whether you are a doctor or a mailman. Borders are not important anymore, because tried got so much bigger and that also means that people can live wherever they want and don't need a green card for it.
Inclusive Malaysia
Inclusive Malaysia
a more inclusive policy narrative presented by politicians. (others -Malaysia) no race based reverse ration - national identity ...my dream for my grandchildren
Hope (Upanje)
Hope (Upanje)
I would like to see a strong development and improvement of the situation of naˇ healthcare in the future, as it seems to me to be confusing at present. I also hope that people will have little sickness &scarron about nature and how this affects the climate. I am painful when I go on a walk and I am surrounded at almost every step. I also think that people are slightly dampened at the time, perhaps because of the constant breath of the pandemic, but I hope this will change in the coming years. But if I am completely sincere, I also have a slight fear of the future, and this is due to advances in technology. Marsi has already changed in this area, since na&i star ši young people and many of these advances have brought good and useful things. Marsi has ploughed up, but not everything is so pink. As a result of mobile phones and computers, people-to-people relationships have changed, no more face-to-face and social contacts at all. I am afraid that the situation around this will be with new advances &e Deb šala. But it is also possible that it will not happen. Like the famous professor, she says; hope dies last
Maybe tomorrow ...
Maybe tomorrow ...
In 2040 the world that we all used to know is just a fading memory. The class system collapsed and everyone's needs are fully met no matter what. Work isn't mandatory for survival anymore. People have a lot of free time now to do what they always wanted and spend time with their loved ones. We have fully shifted to sustainable energy and are working on repairing the damage that has been done previously, fast fashion doesn't exist anymore and we are focusing on sustainability overall. Political participation is mandatory and people can vote from the comforter of their own home everywhere, this was we ensure true democracy and people are overall happier because the people in power are being put there by the majority. All drugs are legalized, that doesn't mean that people take them more it just ensures that people don't get to jail for the possession of it, also prison focuses on the rehabilitation and not further punishment of the convicts everywhere. Third world countries also arent a thing anymore because we share all resources and don't accumulate wealth anymore. Also, we are all vegan, this helped with the co2 problem and yearly saves unimaginable amounts of clean water.
