Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

Migration Policy (Migrationspolitik)
For the future, I no longer want people to go through such life-threatening pathways to safety. I wish there to be a better support system that would effectively save people without them being neglected/unfairly treated. And there is also a chance in other countries for those.
Alternative Planetary Futures
I like a value-based transformation and collective quest for the wisdom in 2040, when people:
1/Question all and any natural born identities
e.g. tied to geography, ethnicity, nationality, faith, language, etc.
2/Love the aliens’ cultures and hybrid mindsets
e.g. those of foreigners’ with the least common shared overlapping beliefs, norms, and practices.
3/Embrace the planetary identity to save the ecology
e.g. by refusing the geopolitical boundaries, to tackle climate change, loss of biodiversity, depletion of natural resources, etc.
4/Refuse all and any justification of violence and killing
e.g. avoid praising warfare in texts and movies and stories and stop glorification of fighters and warriors, etc.
5/Practice the key principles of scientific worldview
e.g. obtain a mythical sense of awe and reverence in learning laws of nature governing the cosmos and practice a global ethics that is inclusive of non-humans.
6/Realize the no-human-work economy and all activist societies
e.g. support automation of undignified hard and boring labor and encourage everyday activity of maximum political participation.
7/Transcend the simple vs. complex binary through enriching the symbolic systems
e.g. create new higher level frames or languages, such as a 2*2 scenario matrix or system dynamic loops or vector bundles in the total space, to enrich the big picture understanding and more simple elegant generalization of the lower level or base space of the fiber bundle confusing complexity.
Refugee policy in the EU (Flüchtlingspolitik in der EU)
Refugee policy: Countries in the Mediterranean are the most difficult, as refugees are all crossing the sea. In the EU, the Dublin Convention applies, where they first entered European soil, they also have to apply for asylum. The end result is that the northern rich countries, such as Denmark, Sweden and Finland, have been spared by this crisis. This should be changed and a single set of rules such as the EU distribution key should be introduced. The EU distribution key guarantees that each EU country should receive refugees depending on the number of inhabitants, GDP, unemployment rate and asylum seekers already received. This will ensure a fairer distribution of roles.
Nevertheless, what is important is Frontex. It is the European Border and Coast Guard Agency. However, their implementation is questionable. They should focus more on smugglers, as refugees pay a lot of money to (mostly over-indebted) to come to the EU. They guarantee not only the protection of the Schengen area, but also the prevention of trafficking in human beings.
Taking humanity back
In 2040, we have a balance between man and technology. Technology is a support for us to really be able to be just human, it does not control our behaviors but we find meaning in using technology to overcome obstacles. As a human being, meeting other people without having to hide behind a facade is 'modish'. We can thank technology for solving many problems, but it is the human encounters that create values such as empathy, joy, motivation and inspiration.
Future climate-friendly and socially fair diets (Zukünftige klimafreundliche und sozial gerechte Ernährung)
Agriculture accounts for a large part of our greenhouse gases. To tackle the root causes of climate change, we need to completely change our diet. For example, protein intake by insects is ensured instead of meat and soya products. An alternative diet should be explored by scientists with the support of policy makers.
