Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

Less technology & more community - via a secondary monetary system and stricter laws on social media
Climate crisis and corona all point to the way of over-exploitation of our planet and the creatures on it. The first lockdown created a brief pause but of late everything has seemed to return to the old stressful way of life, with highways once again full of trucks and cars. Nothing seems to stop the rat race, if only because "it's all about the economy" - even if it's at the detriment of our health and the planet. We're all hostages of neoliberalism and the Stockholm syndrome isn't being healed. That needs to stop. It must. One sad aspect is how the over reliance on technology has created havoc. Cambridge Analytica & Trump have shown us how social media can be turned evil ; more needs to be done in that respect, beyond GDPR, to protect our democracies. Moreover, Silicon Valley distrupters and other lobbyists have enriched themselves while causing chaos and profound unhappiness. Yet people like Richard Wilkinson, Rutger Bregman and the late Bernard Lietaer have already pointed to the solution : more equality, a better distribution of wealth, companies paying their taxes like everyone else. Key in this vision is not "universal income" however, if only because it's taboo for a lot of politicians. A better way of realising change is starting with a secondary monetary system as Bernard Lietaer has recommended. Because the euro and the dollar etc. are about sarcity and stranglehold (hostage holders & lobbyists), while a secondary coin will liberate energy and cooperation. Essential in averting the climate crisis and repairing floods. This can only go hand in hand with more participation & deliberative democracy. G1000 was a good start but we need to go further if we want change - because politics is at the merci of lobbyism & sectarianism.
Generation of awareness (Generation Bewusst )
For 2040, I present a society that is there for each other and can express its views freely on an equal footing. There is no division due to origin, colour, religion, health status, prosperity. Everyone has recognised their potential to live in wealth. There are many more flattening faces.
The family company is supported. Children are love to be accompanied by parents, without worry about time and money. Children’s talents will be promoted. There are school subjects such as Mindset, health and the world of work/self-employment.
In the supermarkets, there are clean food that makes the consumer feel comfortable and energy-rich for a long time. Projects that are sustainable, young and old will be supported. Nature is protected and there are more green facilities in cities.
There are confident news and solutions that serve people and nature.
A Future that satisfies the conditions of the Veil of Ignorance
A future that is fair for everyone, where most (with the goal of all) states in the world become legitimate democracies, thereby to strengthen global cooperation and avoid armed conflicts.
See a major increase in industrialized countries and the prosperity increase strongly within these states, so that these and their populations don’t get exploited any further. Use Technology only to our advantage but be wary of it’s possibilities and not use it to exploit. Improve universal healthcare globally and improve equality of income.
post golden age (post golden age)
it does not matter what I want the future to be. The golden age is over. With inevitable climate change a centuries long age of decline has begun. Once people have realized that, it will affect their economic, social, and reproductive decisions, accelerating decline. Seeing inappropriate reactions of most contemporaries on the pandemic renders it just naive to believe that anything can be done to change that.
Fair, healthy and sustainable living (Faires, gesundes und nachhaltiges Leben)
More support for entrepreneurship, ownership and innovation. Innovation mainly in environmental protection, automation, digitalisation & IOT. Performance principle needs to be strengthened. At the same time, the mechanisms for a social market economy should be strengthened, with maximum support and demands, strengthening and defending European values. Flexible working hours, mobile working and fair pay.
