Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

#OurFutures stories by EU citizens
In the future, I want there to be a focus on having a healthy and attractive work environment, with opportunities for all people, where you develop as the person you are. There will be a strong focus on young people getting a good education as they did in the happy 80s, when people learned to write by hand and not on digital media... That we forget AI and return to the days when we talked together mentally and not through social media. Taking care of the elderly in nursing homes and making sure they had a good time after a long working life where they had contributed a lot of money to society. A world where Mette Frederiksen and Corona had never existed. Back to Mogens Glistrup and Anker Jørgensen.
Maaseudun tulevaisuus
I live in the countryside. There the birds sing and the air is clean to breathe.I live in a small wooden house and there a small sauna cottage.I grow mainly my own food,in my small garden. The small village shop is some distance away. There are also the necessary services, what is now needed.Bank, gasoline station, kiosk, doctor and medical care, etc. A little further is the city, where we have more extensive services. We go to some kind of exchange economy among our neighbours.Someone raises cattle, where we get meat.Someone likes a chicken, where we get eggs.Someone cultivates grain and vegetables, flowers, berries, etc. Someone knows how to craft and sew.Work is remote work or at least partially.Life is peaceful, the air is clean and fresh, health is good from clean food and the exercise brought about by its upbringing, as well as a lifestyle that produces basic exercise.Maybe there could be something for pets, dogs and cats. This would be ideal for life, without hurry and stress.Without diseases and depression.
In the future, mobility across Europe will be easy and ecological, while also taking into account rational pricing. This will allow people to have a wider experience across Europe and a better understanding of different cultures, which will support diversity and understanding of other people and diversity.
Europe is joining forces to be greener, making Europe the most ecological continent. This will require a commitment from all countries and the development of science in a more ecological direction.
Living conditions have improved everywhere and people are living well. Easy mobility also means that people have better opportunities to move around Europe for work and life.
2040, the years of madness are behind us and I'm delighted. The electoral electroshock I'd been dreaming of has finally arrived and swept away all this madness. Immigration is at an all-time low and we can finally imagine "integrating" the populations we have. Wokism is a thing of the past, and we finally know whether we're male or female. Our withdrawal from Europe, which was predicted to be a disaster, is gradually enabling us to rediscover our borders and our values, and a sense of family seems to have returned to the center of our preoccupations. It's not easy, but we're on the right track. Our children can go out again without us having to worry about their physical integrity.
75 years old and still good health to be able to see my happy son, who is in a business he loves, and two grandchildren. We redeemed my in-laws' house, a bloody project that went through and for which I fought to the death. I am still owed for what they took from me, knowingly and unknowingly, but all's well that ends well. We are finally out of the cage of the European Union, the state is back to being a state, taking care of domestic consumption, welfare, we have our own new currency; we consume what we produce and we have nationalized banks and many large enterprises. We are the privileged partners of Russia from which we import gas at favorable prices. The future now speaks Italian.
In 2040 I will be 70 years old I will have a career behind me I hope to be healthy and have an adequate pension , that's what everyone hopes humanity is facing a huge change, there is artificial intelligence nature is not doing well and there is also the shadow of a major war in the air. There is great fear for the future, by 2040 the glaciers will have melted massively and many areas will be submerged, I remember my trip to the Maldives and I am sorry that the place where I used to holiday no longer exists. Humans have become stupid, I think about how things that used to be so simple cause so much headache for people today, home cooking is impossible to do without AI instructions, no food is real anymore, Christmas ham has turned into a soy cricket tofu mix manipulated by the ham flavour sex gene, thankfully I can remember how it used to be and I feel sorry for my children's children when they don't experience the same. My picture of the future is bleak because human memory is short and does not learn from its mistakes everyone knows what to do but the world has been taken over by a new religion and its holy trinity is power, markets and money.
In 2040, I will be almost 90 years old. Hopefully I'll still be mentally fit and won't have too many ailments so that I can still cope with everyday life. Perhaps medicine has been researched to such an extent that it can give people a longer life. This is particularly beneficial for young people who still have their lives ahead of them. A life in peace and freedom to explore the world, as we had in our youth. I wish us old people a dignified existence, available care options and a financial livelihood, as we will need a lot of money in old age to maintain a certain standard of living so that we don't end up in poverty in old age.
2025 was the year when the energy transition began. Before that, energy was produced from fossil fuel, a highly flammable material that produced a great deal of heat that was used to move power generators. Even before fuel, coal was used, which in those days produced just the right amount of energy for the machines of the day. With subsequent industrial revolutions, coal had become insufficient for the energy these new machines needed, so oil took over. It was curious how the industrial revolution of the time always had to use the same method to produce energy and that was to burn a naturally occurring source. Now this obsolete system no longer exists; we are proud to have changed the method of producing energy. No longer destroying and burning, but creating and conserving.
My best future would be an environment where everyone is better off, from an environmental, health and economic standpoint, not so much from a social standpoint, understood as socialist, but from the standpoint of physical, mental and environmental well-being, where there are still differences, but everyone lives in peace with everyone.
utopia
in 2040 I would like to see a world without war and in which the environment is put first, nature respected, animals are no longer killed , every person has an income of citizenship, mutual respect is first place, who is guilty pays even if he is a politician, the right has disappeared from the face of the earth, you use only renewable energy, prisons reeducate, schools do not look like prisons, you do outdoor lessons, you promote health and not thereuse of drugs, tax evasion is fought and by evaders and corrupt ploplitics you take money for all the people, travel and move + simple throughout the world, there are no torannies but only democracies, you can be different without being persecuted, religions are an ade and not an instrument of tyranny and oppression, culture is promoted and ignorance does not exist, people study and travel and open the mind, peace and harmony reign, you adopt rather than have children at least as long as there is overpopulation, you do not go to other planets, you fly little, you lura little, you fight corruption instead of admiring it, I would like to send this story but I can not, the button does not load, because * there is no way to know if I have written enough? go ahead, probably instead in 240 we will not be there anymore and I do not speak only epr me. ciao cari does not work are nine lines boh let go
In the social sphere, there will likely be a change in the definition of work, with many traditional professions disappearing, while new ones, related to technology and sustainability, will emerge. I also expect a growing concern for the environment and significant progress in renewable energy, reducing our dependence on nonrenewable resources. It will be a more connected world, but also one that is more aware of global challenges.
Altid et enigt Europa
Europe! Hopefully, there will always be a Europe where you get to know each other, a place where you can live in peace and freedom, where you can travel freely from one country to another. Even if we speak different languages, even if we have different cultures, for many hundreds of years, we will still and always, stand together and respect each other, we will still help around the world.
