Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. In 2040, I would like to see a future where sustainable technology dominates everyday life. Energy is 100% renewable, with smart grids optimizing consumption. Artificial intelligence and robotics are allied in health, education and work, guaranteeing quality of life and reducing inequality. Transportation is autonomous and clean, eliminating congestion and pollution. Space exploration is advancing, enabling lunar colonies and research on Mars. Digital privacy is protected by decentralized systems, and human-machine interaction is intuitive, making technology accessible to all.

It's 2040 and a lot has changed. Things for the worse and things for the better. We've managed to make the planet more sustainable, to give way to gardens with lots of trees. We've also managed to achieve a better distribution of wealth, with the rich no longer as rich and the poor no longer as poor as they were in 2025. We have also managed to almost eradicate the word "homeless". Why? Because they hardly exist anymore with the new "home for all" program, in which we have managed to give people in difficulty a decent life.
