During this time, people's transportation problem is solved. Around the world, local public transport has been extended to villages and is free for everyone. The means of transportation are all emission-free and private transport mostly consists of self-driving electric cars that can be booked by other people via an app when they are not being used by their owners. CO2 emissions have been reduced to a minimum by using renewable energies as an adequate source of energy in all sectors of life.

Peace has been achieved in the world. Warfare has been halted across the globe. National borders have been opened and travel made easier. People are living in dignity, and the economy and technologies have made people's lives easier and more comfortable. Life expectancy has increased dramatically. New medicines have been invented to prolong people's dignified lives. Age-related diseases have been reduced. Medicines for cancer, dementia, mental illnesses have become available. Working people work 3 days a week and get a decent wage for it, which allows them to afford to travel more and fulfil all their desires. There is hardly any unemployment and people enjoy working. Unemployed people are paid a decent allowance so that they can get on with their lives. Crime against the person and theft are reduced. People are safe in their own country. Retired people get a decent pension and travel a lot around the world. A pensioner's health is better than ever and all rehabilitation and treatment services are available free of charge. Medicines are cheap. State interference in people's lives is greatly reduced and the state helps its people to live well and with dignity. All people are happy and enjoy their lives.

We are smarter in 2040. After the corona crisis in 2019, we realized how important it was to be self-sufficient. So now, in 2040, agriculture has started to sprout up again around Denmark, a number of taxes have been removed to make it easier for farmers to sell their produce, and even restaurants have started to have their own kitchen gardens. And the healthcare sector has improved, not that taxes have gone up, on the contrary, but focus has been placed on ensuring that doctors' offices and hospitals have highly trained staff who actually treat patients, i.e. investigate what might be wrong with the patient, rather than just throwing panodils at them and hoping that the patient's problems go away. Because it really lagged in 2024-2025.

My 2040 is a time when European countries have come closer together and become safer for their citizens. With clear defense, crime and immigration policies that all countries follow and contribute to, this has been achieved. Europe is united around the Christian faith that permeates society. Politically and religiously motivated crime has fallen sharply, along with other crime, and citizens live in a much safer time.

I believe that the European Union will still exist and that Lithuania will be a member of it. Politicians will no longer make bold decisions that radically change people's lives and habits in terms of migration, the environment and so on. They will not be able to change the way they live and work, or the way they live and live in their neighbourhoods. The veto will be abolished in decision-making. Europe will have its own army, with the South joining in.

Sadly all of humanities efforts to battle climate change went unnoticed. The constant wars and new biologically engineered diseases wreacked havoc both on the economy and the environment. The global population started declining and the wealth inequality grew uncontrolled. Now only 0.01% of the population controlled all the resources and everyone else was considered slave labor. Some revolutions were instigated but sadly all of them failed due to the slaves fighting the technologically advanced weaponry of the elites with sticks.

In the future, I see Europe as a continent that combines innovation, sustainability and social justice. A strong European community that transcends national borders and promotes genuine cooperation would be desirable. Economically, Europe should be a leader in renewable energy, sustainable technology and fair digitalization. Green cities with emission-free mobility and environmentally friendly architecture could shape everyday life. At the same time, Europe remains a center for education and research that offers young people first-class opportunities. Politically, I would like to see a Europe that resolutely defends human rights, democracy and freedom of expression. A stronger European identity could help to overcome nationalism and strengthen social cohesion.

A renewed Europe in which national identities and differences are exalted and where cultural roots are rediscovered. A Europe that limits illegal immigration and present ethnic substitution, and encourages repatriations in every way possible, helping individual nations to practice them. Safer roads and safer cities.

My wish for 2040 is that we will no longer be bossed around by such nobodies and whistles in Brussels or in national governments. Politics in the EU is increasingly degenerating into lobbyism and a self-service store. More direct democracy and not just a pretense of democracy. Security in the EU should be protected by external borders.

It is 2040, and the skies are filled with drones navigating the city with precision. Buildings are now no longer stone blocks, but living structures that adapt to the weather and the needs of their inhabitants. I am standing on a rooftop terrace, where green roofs and vertical gardens extend into the sky. This was not always the case. Between 2025 and 2050, we addressed the massive climate crisis by embracing clean energy on a large scale and transforming cities into self-sufficient oases.

The year is 2040, ten years ago, and all wars and political conflicts have ended. Peace reigned. Infrastructure that was destroyed during the war is being rebuilt. The world economy has become interconnected for better results and goals.Everyone is optimistic for a better connected world and people are working less and enjoying more leisure time with loved ones. The whole world is united in overcoming hunger, social disparities and climate change.

I would like the migrants to accept us as we are. I have nothing against them living out their culture in return for them accepting ours. Criminals should finally be punished appropriately so that we can walk the streets as freely as we did a few years ago. Parents should not question every sentence but educate their children so that they can behave themselves and not ask the child what is right. I have to say that I love children, but their behavior leaves a lot to be desired.
