Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

Yhdessä luotu parempi tulevaisuus
By 2040, my world will be full of sustainable and humane technology. I have always dreamed that every person could live without threats to the environment or health, so I would like to see a Europe where climate change has been overcome and well-being is for everyone.
In cities, green roofs and vertical gardens produce food locally and there is no more food waste – AI accurately predicts needs. Our energy comes only from renewable sources, and the seas are clean again. People move seamlessly on electric, shared-ownership vehicles, and there is no traffic pollution.
Healthcare has evolved so that diseases are effectively prevented, and everyone receives personalised care without waiting in line. Mental health is seen as important as physical health, and society supports everyone's well-being.
The future in which technology and nature live in harmony is not a dream – it is a choice we made together.
Glem ikke at se tilbage når du ser frem
In my childhood in the 70's and 80's, the view of the world was very marked by the consequences of World War II. There was East and communism on the one hand and democracy and freedom on the other. NASA's lunar program was still in fresh memory and the development of computers happened at a rapid pace. Then the wall fell to the east all saw a common future towards the turn of the millennium and beyond. But something happened to the seeming and understanding of democracy. Russia fell back to the soviet era and in the United States became a convicted criminal president and will force the world to play by his rules. Fortunately, free Europe and the rest of North and South America were united so that his ideas had the most damaging effects in his own country.
It's been years and the world has changed for the better. Everyone can still remember the economic consequences for virtually the entire world, with the United States probably no one right now forgets the "second great depression". The world is once again working together to solve our common challenges. And yet it worries if the story is remembered: If we do not permanently defend and fight for not only our own freedom but also the freedom of others, democracy will quickly come under pressure. And I'm still waiting for a flying car and space tourism. However, the new computers are impressive even though there are very few people who can really understand how they work. They're almost human.
Drömscenariot
A future where everyone lives in peace and harmony together. Religions have become secondary and the people think that humanism is more important. Technology has advanced so much that poverty is eradicated. The climate has recovered as we come up with new technological solutions.
In the near future, humans will be able to move to Mars, which has now been colonized by the first humans. Crime has fallen sharply as there is no longer much to argue about. Everyone lives a good life. Life expectancy has increased significantly, and the first human to be 200 years old has been born. The future is bright for humanity and we have hope back
Een geheel
In 2040, 15 years from now, I hope we can all do something more normal against each other. That we accept each other for who we are and leave each other in value. That beliefs can go together and political beliefs can coexist. That we are concerned with who we are ourselves instead of worrying about who someone else is and wants to be. That we're all just a little bit better for each other.
een dag in het leven van Emma anno 2050
It was the morning of February 12, 2050. The sun shone brightly through the glass walls of the high-rise building in which Emma lived. She sat on her balcony, a cup of coffee in her hand, while her eyes saw the city in the distance. The city that reminded her so much of the old world, but was also so different.
In the 15 years since 2025, the world had undergone undeniable changes. The climate, the greatest threat of its time, was finally on the right track. drastic measures had been taken. By 2028, world leaders had come up with a global climate action agreement, which led to an accelerated transition to renewable energy sources. The fossil fuels had practically disappeared, and cities had been rebuilt to live harmoniously with nature.
The technology had also made leaps and bounds. Emma remembered the times of social media in the years 2020. By 2029, after years of debate, the world had gone through a digital reset: The huge influence of the tech giants had been greatly reduced, and privacy laws had been implemented that forced even the most powerful companies to review their practices. The large data streams previously collected by humans were now managed more transparently and personally, with a focus on well-being rather than consumption.
Education had also undergone a radical transformation. In 2032, the global education system was renewed, allowing students worldwide to learn from the best teachers without geographical barriers. Emma herself had her own children study through advanced virtual learning platforms, traveling to the most remote corners of the world at the same time. The emphasis was now on critical thinking, collaboration, and ecological awareness.
There have been major social shifts. The traditional concept of "work" has changed. In 2035, basic income was introduced in many countries, allowing people to spend their time on creativity, innovation and caring for their community rather than being stuck in the grind of endless working hours. Emma no longer worked in an office building, but ran a small business from home, where she helped people design sustainable products.
While progress was undeniable, there were also challenges. The world was still divided in some ways, with cultural and political tensions sharpening the world order. The inequality between developed and developing countries had not been completely overcome, and it was clear that there would always be work to do. Emma was optimistic. The new generations had grown up with a different idea of community and responsibility.
Today Emma would go to the new educational center of her city, a space where young and old came together to learn about biodiversity and the new technologies that could further heal the earth. It felt like a new start, not only for herself, but for the whole planet. The world had changed, and although there was still work to do, she felt that she was finally on the right path with the rest of humanity. The future, she thought, was promising.
In the silence of the morning, Emma thought about the changes she had gone through in her life. What a time to live, and she wondered, as she put down her cup of coffee, what the world would look like in twenty-five years.
“We did it for the shareholders”
It’s 2040, AGI to most jobs and climate change destroyed a large part of the world. There is a huge income gap, poverty increased significantly due to people losing their jobs because of AI. Also, thanks to climate change, nature is very weak which results in difficulty to key crops grow.
My dream future
Discrimination is a thing of the past. Everyone is able to work in a way that suits them. There are protections for people with disabilities regardless of their relationship status. LGBTQIA+ couples have all the same rights as same sex couples. The cost of living has decreased and there is a universal living wage for everyone. Education and inclusion are valued highly. It is easier to travel through Europe and experience the diverse cultures and cuisine
Leben ohne Ehrgeiz und Veränderung
I think that by 2040 little will change in the life of humanity. How little has changed in the last 15 years. There are too many different but equally strong groups and so we find ourselves in a situation where everyone pulls in their direction, but we end up stepping on the spot. People are too busy with political news. Reading news and contentless discussions robs people of the time to actually create something. It also costs energy to be upset about yourself or your environment. Most people are ultimately satisfied with what is happening and do not feel the power to change. Moreover, disruptions are subject to strong state control – not directly, but indirectly – as it is difficult to distinguish between private and regulated activities. Due to the variety of regulations, living without consultants is not possible, and consultants must be paid. There is no reason to wait for change. We will continue to live in the illusion of freedom, although only money can provide this freedom if man has appropriate claims and ambitions.
Inga krig
That there is a weapon system that allows no one to win a war. The military should be there to fight individual criminals and syndicates. Everyone should stay in their countries they were born and raised in and solve any problems there and get the opportunity to work in other countries but no citizenship
The healthcare that changed the world
As we step into the year 2040, the landscape of healthcare has been dramatically transformed by the advent of microbots. These microscopic machines, designed to navigate the human body with precision, have revolutionized medical treatment, making it more effective and less invasive than ever before. Among their most groundbreaking applications is the delivery of medication directly to affected areas, eliminating many of the inefficiencies and side effects of traditional treatments.
Microbots have significantly improved the treatment of chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases. Unlike conventional methods that often expose the entire body to potent drugs, microbots deliver medication precisely where it is needed. This targeted approach enhances drug effectiveness while minimizing harmful side effects, leading to faster recovery times and improved patient outcomes.
Furthermore, microbots have transformed emergency medicine. Patients suffering from strokes or heart attacks now receive immediate, life-saving interventions through microbots that dissolve blood clots or repair tissue damage within minutes. These tiny machines, controlled by advanced AI systems, ensure real-time monitoring and rapid response, reducing mortality rates significantly.
In addition to treatment, microbots play a crucial role in preventive care. They continuously scan the body for early signs of diseases, allowing for timely diagnosis and intervention before symptoms even appear. This proactive approach has drastically reduced the prevalence of late-stage illnesses, enhancing overall public health and longevity.
As we embrace this technological marvel, ethical considerations and regulatory measures remain essential to ensure safe and equitable access. Nonetheless, microbots have ushered in an era where healthcare is more precise, efficient, and life-saving than ever before.
Le retour aux sources
The air is no longer polluted , there are fewer vehicles less asphalt area .
The climate has recovered and global warming has stopped.
The countryside is larger , the trees again have room to grow and the vegetation is again more extensive.
The sea is also less polluted and there are again more fish to be able to fish again while respecting biodiversity .
The streams and rivers have also regained their , rights there are more and their water is beautiful and clear.
There are no more species in the process of extinction.
Man understood that he had abused all the resources of the planet and not only backtracked, but he also made every effort to make up for his mistakes and help the planet to clean up.
With global warming receding, natural disasters have almost disappeared and every corner of the globe has regained its original climate and its fauna and flora.
