2040. Europeans have recognised that our differences are one of Europe's greatest values and that they need a united commitment. That the culture and self-existence of every small fragment of the people are just as invaluable as those of the great ones, whether they have taken root on an Aegean island or in the Lapland tundra buried in castles. This is not some woke wishful thinking, but a conclusion arising from the thermodynamics of living systems. London and Paris have got rid of the illusion that they could still function as independent geopolitical forces on the back of the vanishing aftermath of their lost empires and work creatively together in the common interest of the continent. A workable balance has been found between national interests and the common geopolitical interest, underpinned by a faster decision-making mechanism. Europe is a member of NATO as a whole autonomous bloc and is able to defend its interests regardless of its non-continental allies. Ukraine is a member of NATO and the European Union. Europe needs a strong and self-reliant Africa. In cooperation with African countries and the African Union, their educational and scientific capacities and their economic performance have developed sufficiently so that the accompanying emancipation of women and changes in family models have created the conditions for the pressure of mass emigration to subside. Well, I guess we'll keep looking.
