2040's EU: The true and welcoming land of opportunities

I hope and expect that our empathy for those from afar will increase in the next 20 years, and the international mobility of vulnerable people will not be as difficult and exhausting as it is today.

On the one hand, I would like 2040 to be a year in which those who are forced to flee their homes due to human or climatic catastrophes do not face unnecessary obstacles in their flight, resulting from prejudice and discrimination. I close my eyes and I see reception centres which respect and promote human rights, politicians that do not trade with border control measures, administrations that protect vulnerable people, laws that do not curtail human rights under any pretext or justification, and judicial systems that do not deviate from such red lines.

In addition, I also hope that those who cannot develop their full potential in their home country will be able to access the facilities we have in Europe, either to bring that talent back home or to stay in the EU. At present, the legal pathways to access the EU territory are mainly focused on people with higher education, entrepreneurs or people with some purchasing power. However, I believe that the ideal is to open up more circular migration channels through which those who do not have much can have a better future. This is not only "in our interest" because it would reduce irregular immigration, but I believe it should be an obligation, as a significant world power.

In my vision of an ideal 2040, mobility should be open to all - not a headache for those who need to flee or a utopia for those who cannot afford it.

Deregulation No admission of people who does not want to be a part of our culture Non-European criminals must be expelled from Europe I would like to see a united Europe which is able to protect our main values for freedom and peace. A Europe that does not bow to external pressure. A Europe where Europe comes before national interests. A Europe that is not afraid of China, Russia and USA.

Čista in dobičkonostna Evropa
I would like to see Europe in the future with no migrants, only with culture in every country that existed before. In Slovenia without mosques and immigrants. Job vacancies would be taken up by Europeans, with Europe taking care of the well-being of every worker. Wage taxation would be taken care of. Every job would be respected and paid enough for a good life and the creation of families. In the future, Europe must also stop plunging into foreign conflicts. It must regulate housing problems and teach young people about investing money, which we are not currently devoting to at all. It must put more emphasis on making the euro a stable and leading currency. Volunteering in Europe, such as firefighting the Red Cross, charities, can be adequately rewarded with a higher and rewarded status in society. To put more in the defence of Europe and, above all, the members of Europe must be unanimous, not each in its own way something.. this shows the potential attacker that we are not coordinated, and this is the biggest minus in the defence of the integrity of Europe. All EU countries must have the same vision and quality policy.

Free, easy travel by public transport throughout the EU. Lots of greenery, no overpopulation. Economic equality, not overly expensive (rental) homes. Velig and clean. There is always supervision that can intervene quickly, and streets and homes are well cared for. There are fewer cars and people have faith in science. Veganism is much more popular.

I sit in my garden and breathe clean, scented air.In my sight is a forest and in it a multitude of animals. No private cars, only public transport.Everything is socially owned:my house, the company where I work,health,school... Every household has a dog, cat or some other domestic animal that it takes care of.Human rights are at a very high level and all are respected. At work it is allowed to come with pets.By winter I heat myself on electric heaters, and electricity is not expensive because it arises only from renewable energy sources. My city is full of parks where trees are not cut down because it is rotten. but when it is dried or wilted. The branches of the trees are not cut and circumcised and therefore the movement of people is restricted.
