I would be 82 years old in 2040. If I were still in this world then, my oldest two grandchildren would be 26, my middle granddaughter 22 and the youngest two 20 years old.
My wish for my children, children-in-law and grandchildren is that the climate situation improves. I hope that common sense will finally prevail. Maybe then there will be a world without war?
I imagine that there will only be self-driving cars. There are no more internal combustion engines. The public transport network is well developed. The research work is sensational, new technologies and achievements are constantly being developed for a climate-friendly world.
That would be my vision for the future. I can't imagine anything else. I'm worried about my family and also about the whole of humanity and the animal world. More war, crop failures, water shortages, a collapse in health care...... If a miracle doesn't happen and a change in thinking finally takes place, we face a terrible future.
