The future I would expect in 2040 points to people's awareness of having respect for nature and animals. Water continues to concern us. Many countries are already short of water. We really need to do something about that. The seas are full, and we are going to make sure that all this water can be turned into potable water, to the extent that we need it. So every country , every city and every person will be able to be supplied with potable water.

Feb. 21, 2040: Today is the day of scientific culture and intelligence of all European citizens.
