Nadejście 2040 roku będę świętować już za 15 lat. To niezbyt odległa perspektywa. Chciałabym móc się przemieszczać między miastami i między krajami z większą szybkością, w nowoczesnych i komfortowych środkach lokomocji. Wyobrażam sobie zamknięte dla ruchu kołowego centra dużych miast a w tkance miejskiej zdecydowanie więcej zieleni. Zamienione w strefy zielonego wypoczynku i zaopatrzone w źródlaną wodę pitną, dotychczasowe przystanki tramwajowe i autobusowe dawałyby schronienie i zbliżały ludzi. Patrole policji obywatelskiej na rowerach/ konno sprawowałyby pieczę nad porządkiem w mieście. Ujednolicony [kolorystycznie] transport elektryczny woziłby pasażerów w wybrane miejsca. Zostałaby ograniczona liczba sklepów spożywczych, w których byłyby dostępne produkty pochodzące od rolników/ hodowców z danego regionu. Zostałyby zlikwidowane przychodnie lekarskie i urzędy. I have grown older. Together with my partner, I fulfilled my dream of building another house - after all, there was still room in the garden of the old house! It's not any smaller than the old house, but the layout is better. We have moved into the upper apartment - the office in the basement is no longer needed since we retired from work. It now serves as an apartment when children and grandchildren come to visit. Our neighborhood is constantly changing. Separations and deaths bring change. The houses don't stay empty for long. It is very popular to live in the village. People still look out for each other here and living together works. There are lots of activities for young and old, and most people are keen to get involved in voluntary work. All in all, it's a good place to grow older.
