The world is in a calmer phase, the storms of the early 2020s have subsided and humanity can enjoy a meaningful life. We have come to our senses, we no longer spend as much as we used to and we do not always aspire to a higher standard of living than the previous generation. A miracle has taken place and our eastern neighbour is peaceful and there too there seems to be a genuine opportunity to discuss differences and also for the borders of the country to remain in place and for neighbours not to be threatened. The problems facing our planet have led most of us to consider our actions more calmly and to prefer a simpler way of life.
Personally, I will be 85 years old in 2040, hopefully still living with my spouse of the same age, either in my current home or in a new easier to maintain home, and getting the help I need. My child is middle-aged and will continue to work in his chosen profession and lead a normal good life with its joys and sorrows.
