Finally, we have reversed the trend! Global temperature rise has plateaued and we can slowly work towards a reduction. Melting of our land ice sheets has stopped. By cleaning the ocean of plastic pollution, fish stocks have recovered and we can enjoy the food of the sea without risking its regeneration. Organic farming of fruit, vegetables and cereals has taken off worldwide. The efforts of rich countries in drought-prone areas of Africa have enabled us to revive farming in old agricultural landscapes.
Energy development has achieved new successes and reduced our dependence on coal, gas and nuclear power. New methods of renewable energy sources and efficiency improvements have paid off.
