My European vision is a greener, more peaceful Europe. In order to prevent this, we must act as soon as possible, which can only be brought about by green investments and because of which we have to reduce our comfort for a while in order to have a better future. Epidemiological measures will end for good by 2040 and Covid-19 will become a simple public disease, which will no longer pose a huge threat. However, in order to avoid further epidemics, certain restrictions may remain in place, such as the use of masks in hospitals and various public health institutions. Digitization will conquer such a huge space that it must be supported. However, we must be careful not to overdo it and in the end end up worse off with such investments, for example with unreasonably high prices, possible risks due to Internet crime. Immigration must be moderated and people must not be allowed in without checks. The problem must be solved locally and the Union must focus on this in the future in order to remain in a peaceful and calm environment. The only viable future for the European Union is to remain an economic alliance between nation states. In addition to the common European army, it can also be a military and law enforcement alliance. However, the independence of nation-states must not be lost. Everyone has their own culture and these should not be lost. According to everyone's own laws and wills, they must be independent and sovereign member states within the union. This is my Europe for 2040 in a nutshell!

Zamišljam 2040. godinu kao svijet u kojem je klimatska kriza stavljena pod kontrolu, a obnovljivi izvori energije u potpunosti dominiraju globalnim energetskim sustavom. Odabrao bih temu čiste energije i održivog razvoja. Želio bih da do 2040. godine svijet bude vođen zelenim tehnologijama, gdje su solarne, vjetroelektrane, hidroenergija i napredne baterije standard, a fosilna goriva stvar prošlosti. Gradovi bi bili puni zelenih površina, zgrada s vertikalnim vrtovima i samoodrživih zajednica. Električni automobili, javni prijevoz na vodik ili baterije te pametna infrastruktura omogućili bi minimalnu emisiju CO₂. U ovoj budućnosti, ljudi bi živjeli u harmoniji s okolišem, reciklaža i ponovna upotreba materijala bili bi norma, a klimatske katastrofe smanjene na minimum. Globalna suradnja i razvoj novih tehnologija donijeli bi stabilnost i pravedniju raspodjelu resursa, čime bi se smanjilo siromaštvo i povećala kvaliteta života za sve. To je svijet kakvom težim – održiv, tehnološki napredan, ali prije svega human i u ravnoteži s prirodom.

Pensions would not be needed, there could be some state social system that would allow pensioners to get everything free (up to a certain limit) instead of cash payments. They would live and work in smaller local communities. It's a pretty unrealistic scenario, because all those billions of dollars have to be washed away. There are no men of progress in us when greed and the desire for power reign.
