AI and other technological innovations have been huge and a lot of jobs have disappeared being replaced by technology. However, this has not impacted the regular people as the companies that are benefiting from these new technology and their productivity are taxed at very high tax rates, so most of their profits benefit society as a whole, not just a handful of billionaires. There is UBI (universal basic income) that allows people to cover their basic needs without having to worry about food, medical expenses, shelter, energy and even having funds for recreation, electronics, vehicles and so on. Citizens that are involved in value adding projects to society do so not because they have to work to survive, but because it is their passion. People follow their passions and hobbies and this is not detrimental to society. People with drive or ambition are still able to create businesses, to leverage technology and to increase their personal wealth. There is still a lot of opportunity, but there is no hunger, no poverty, no homelessness and no stress regarding making end meet. All personal wealth over 500 million is taxed at 95%, so it is extremely difficult to be or become a billionaire.
