I am already envisioning a prosperous, wealthy, healthy, robust, joyful and resilient society consisted by healthy, intelligent, happy people. People of all ages, sexes, sexual orientation and origins to live together and supporting each other taking advantage of the achievements of European technology and science.
Young people who are open-minded and healthy (psychically, mentally, phycological), who embraced transcultural diversity, digitalization, mindfulness and green culture. Youth who have great concerns of the quality of life and care about elderly people, offering voluntary services to their city and/or neighborhood. Young people and citizens who are travel-ling, studying and working freely all over Europe and globe. Youth of Europe are citizens of the world who successfully advertise its inclusiveness, openness and simultaneously respect its roots, history and European values.
Extrovert young people who are familiar and educated on European diverse cultures and legacy since primary and secondary level of education. Obligatory knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek is shielding their intelligence (SQ/QQ) in parallel with the knowledge of an Asiatic language.
International philosophical lessons in curricula and in faculties facilitate their outward-looking and their relationships. Their awareness in meditation, mindfulness, risk and security culture as well.
Digitalisation, AR/VR, AI, ML, QE, are enhanced their capacities to interact and communi-cate internationally with teammates, alumni and co-workers all over the world.
I am envisioning a harmonized European Research area where all the education and re-search European infrastructures are working together in daily basis, on equal terms, complimentary and with solidarity, successfully for the common good. I already see the pioneer results of efficient vaccines that healing citizens from several cancer types, viruses, multifactorial diseases, biological threats etc.
I see the unified cybersecurity shield all over Europe! Trust and harmonized collaboration among Member States on every topic on every exogenous and endogenous challenge.
I see the spacecrafts and all the new transportation means and vehicles that operate un-der the Green policies without imposing possible pollution on the air, the sea, the earth and the underground subsoil area. I see Hyperloops to connect all the ports, airports, central terminals of European capitals and smart cities. I see a resilient, flexible unified framework for dealing with crises and disasters.
I see interconnection among smart cities and smart infrastructures.
I see happy people who enjoy human rights and justice, security and citizens’ protection. I see them to participate actively and pro-actively and to contribute in the daily public dialogue with policy makers and central-regional-local governments. I see hubs and spots in every corner, in public spaces and infrastructures where there are able to submit ideas, suggestions, recommendations. Connected platforms are filtering, sorting and translate these inputs towards appropriate institutional decision-making bodies. Lessons in civics, that offered in all the level of educations, embedded such a culture, a culture of engage-ment, co-responsibility, accountability, synergy, empathy and collaboration. Environmental and energy awareness and lifelong training on climate change aspects and impacts are raising the awareness that us humans we are part of the ecosystem; in our planet & uni-verse, not the top in the chain of our ecosystem. Animals’ and plants’ welfare is assured. Healthy organic food and seeds are cultivated, selected and distributed. An efficient Eu-rope that implements rational use of every type of its resources. EU remain at the fore-front of protecting data security as well as privacy and data protection of all consumers.
Wellbeing, equally rights and other chance are provided and ensured for the elderly people, aging people, people with special needs and capacities. Open outdoor areas are available in order to gym and be socialized. Lifelong training and services provided in order to deal comfortably with modern technologies and high-tech tools in every dimension of their public and private life, movement, travelling and interaction.
International agreements on migration and refuges, put equal, reasonable burden on MS and to all continents. Europe is a continent of inclusiveness while preserving its citizens, values and culture. Any new accession and citizenship ensure that is respecting its legacy, laws, institution, national and total borders, sovereign rights, civilization, principles, policies and wellbeing of its citizens.
European water networks and borders are protected and its biodiversity too. Strong geo-political alliances with other continents ensuring its own growth and security and each one of its Member States too. EU does not accept ambiguous policies that put in risk its stability and unity. There is not multi-speed Europe or two-speed Europe, except solidarity and specialised screening of every case. Drawing lessons from history, nature and epigenetics, EU is getting up to speed, as long as is strengthening its inner structure with confidence, trust and collective wisdom.
European economic, financial, legal coherence, constitutional, defence and social cohesion are jointly liable. Humanitarian Aid is offered internationally where appropriate. EU institutions and bodies, that unique institutional set-up, are working collaboratively with MS and all the stakeholders in order to setting the agenda, the law-making, policy-making and to ensuring its leading role in science, research & innovation, ensuring its future, sustainability, competitiveness, and security!
