In 2040, we live in a Europe where sustainability and community are at the heart of our society. Cities are green, with vertical forests and solar-powered transportation systems that have made polluted streets a thing of the past. Nature is integral to our lives and biodiversity thrives in both rural and urban environments.

Science has made breakthroughs that have eradicated many diseases and we live healthier lives with a focus on prevention and well-being. Technology and artificial intelligence support us in our everyday lives, but without removing human contact - on the contrary, we have more time for each other.

Europe is a model for the rest of the world, where cooperation between nations has created a stronger, fairer and more peaceful union. We have proven that innovation and solidarity can go hand in hand - and that the future is bright when we imagine it together.
