It's 2040. Climate change continues to wreak catastrophic havoc on society and little or nothing is being done to slow it down or even stop it.
Science continues to evolve to the point where more and more artificial intelligence takes jobs away from us. How can we survive in capitalism if science takes away our livelihood? There are fewer and fewer people willing to teach because the hell they would have to try if then there is artificial intelligence that tells us everything in a much simpler and succinct way but in a monotonous way that makes us understand practically nothing.
With regard to politics. As such, the world continues to lag behind more and more. Where is the gender equality that so many women struggle with but that seems to be regressing? How are we being ruled by men in their 50/60/70 years who care only about the power and money they have? Why don't countries work together to make the capitalist system (the worst of all) better? Why are the poor always poor and the rich always richer? How did we stop the far-right governments we've been denying for 80 years and even 30 years? What happened to the world? What happened to each person's critical thinking? What happened to those who just wanted to unite everyone to have a better world? Where's everybody? Where are the democracies of 30 years ago and why are countries becoming dictatorships again?
