As we grow older, one hopes, of course, that the broken care of the elderly will finally be put right, both here and elsewhere. Help will be available at home as and when the elderly person's condition requires it. There are enough hands and time in home care. This would allow people to live longer in familiar surroundings for as long as possible. A familiar landscape in which to move around according to one's ability. If snow and ice still 2050 are current.
Outside urban areas, forest felling has become selective and clear-cutting has been completely abandoned. Species-rich stands of many ages provide space for diverse biodiversity. Wooded fields have become forests again, with a high diversity of vegetation and species, allowing for diversity in other life forms. It is a good place to pick berries and mushrooms, or simply to wander around for refreshment and relaxation in the midst of the hustle and bustle.
