In 2040 I am retired, but due to a flexible labor market I still have some working hours, especially online.
The help I and other retirees need (at home) is customized to the individual due to the use of AI.
The content of education has also become more individualized - while children and young people are also learning how to behave socially.
Private motoring has been largely eliminated; a number of vehicles are available; they come and pick you up themselves. This saves on car and parking costs.
An annual health check (voluntary) helps catch many diseases in their early stages, improving quality of life and reducing hospital costs.

Probably it will be very different - it is very likely that we will use way more electricity (for instance electric cars), but hopefully most of it will be produced by solar/wind energy without huge impact to CO2 emissions. And with less CO2 emissions I hope climate change will be less of an issue to the world.

I wish that humanity was truly considered equal by all and that racism, homophobia would disappear and that there would be greater respect for women and that bullying in all its forms would disappear so that people could live without fear of others and be recognized as different.
