In 2040, we will probably have exclusively renewable energy, only electric cars and enough charging stations to ensure that charging is fast and efficient. Electricity prices have fallen to a low level, so the climate can slowly recover. There are still debates in the Bundestag because the contrasts between left and right are too great and the conservative center has declined sharply. All in all, not that much has changed in the last 15 years.

I would like to see easier access to housing in a better future. So that you don't have to collect half your life for a down-payment and pay a mortgage for the rest of your life. That it would be possible to live without worrying about "your place." I wish that in 2040 people, like in the days of our parents' youth, could get together, spend time together and that no one would feel lonely. Now everyone is a "lonely island" and social ties and friendships are increasingly degraded. I wish that in the future someone would pay attention to this problem and that there would be no need, as in the UK, to create a Ministry for Loneliness.

Probably in 2040 I will no longer be there but I hope for all those who will have a Europe of true peace, of true inclusion, of true sharing. More honesty, less violence, more well-being, more equality, more attention to the climate. A true union of all the countries that are part of it, united to improve the continent of Europe!
