In 2040, life in Europe will be better than ever. Countries will get on well together, and there will be close cooperation. Our children will get the best education in the world. There have been great advances in technology, with self-driving or even flying cars, jet planes and hyper-fast trains. The Rail Baltic and the Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel have been built. Artificial intelligence is being used in abundance and for the best purposes. It has enabled advances in medicine, justice, programming and many other areas of life.

The future without war so my grandchildren do not have to be worried. I wish our ruling politicians in all countries would ask themselves if they want trouble and war. That they act as human beings and not as abusers of power and think ahead with their decisions. Not to see themselves as perfect. Hope that world leaders see people and show respect for everyone because we are all unique.

People have been able to discover the secret of eternal youth. Those who so wish can decide whether they want to live forever, or only until they are, say, 200 years old. Teleportation has also been invented, so travel is truly eternal. People have also stopped all wars, because now there is no point. This is because people can have everything they want with the help of artificial intelligence, genetics and robotics.

The energy transition is largely complete. The social controversy surrounding it has been settled because people are convinced that it makes sense. Solutions have also been found for the problems of animal husbandry that are accepted by consumers. The global advance of autocrats has been halted and the oil and gas lobby, which has caused so much suffering, has been disempowered. Climate change is still there, but it is limited. Cities have adapted so that heavy rainfall and droughts can be mitigated. The economy is growing and has finally turned away from outdated structures and technologies, AI is in use almost everywhere and serves people, but is not a threat to them. People are once again more committed to helping others and not just themselves, and emergency services no longer have to fear attacks.
