1 January 2040 9am. I'm sitting on the terrace, it's snowing... A lot of snow. We have those real winters again. We took care of our land in time. Since we cut air traffic, our land has recovered. And since the wars stopped, the climate has improved. I am thinking about what I need to pack in my suitcase, I am going to the spa. Since we have a 3 to 1 ratio we are living very well. A director can have 3 times a worker's salary. And so my salary is decent too. I can also afford a few days of relaxation in a spa, a health resort. The children have their own flat. Upanje za prihodnost.

In 2040, it would be nice to have more freedom, more joy, more happiness, more hope and more empathy and understanding. No differences, no racism, sexism, or anything like that. No hatred in general. I cannot put into words how much I want this. Equality for all. That is my hope, my wish. If it comes true in 2040, when I'm gone, I'll still be happy as a ghost.

There are no wars in the world. Nature is in harmony and people are respectful of it. There has been a major rethink, mindfulness in dealing with each other has become normal. Money is better distributed around the world, salary differences have become smaller. Life, housing etc. has become cheaper... You can afford more

There is peace in the world, hunger has been conquered and poverty no longer exists. Energy production is based on CO2-free sources and climate change has been halted. Global migration movements are limited because the economy in the original countries of origin is being rebuilt, corruption has been abolished and democratically elected governments exist.

Slovenija v svetu 2050

Slovenija se je kot majhna država znašla med letoma 2025 in 2035 v velikem gospodarskem, političnem in družbenem pritisku. Vojne in trgovinska napenjanja mišisic najmočnejših igralcev na geopolitičnem odru sveta so Slovenijo potisnile v tok svetovnega dogajanja na kategerega sama ni mogla vplivati. Trpela je velik upad življenskega standarda in blaginje svojega prebivalstva. Vladajoče politične strukture tega niso bile sposobne omiliti, saj so same bile vpete v sistemsko korupcijo, ki je močno vplivala na razvoj države. Med letoma 2030 in 2040 se globalno stanje tako poslabšalo, da je slovenija kot država po razpadu evropske unije komaj obstala. Podnebne spremembe so močno prizadele tudi slovenijo. Pridelki so padli v količini in kvaliteti na globalni ravni in povzročili kritične težave v globalni oskrbi s hrano. Le ta je privedla do globalne družbene revolucije, ke je v večini držav zrušilo obstoječe vladajoče strukture. Države niso imele več vodij ampak je umetna inteligenca koordinirala različne družbeno storitvene sektorje kot so zdravstvo, varovanje ljudi in premoženja, gospodarstvo itd. Uveden je bil univerzalni temeljni dohodek na globalni ravni, ki je ljudem dal isto izhodišče za življenje. Slovenija se je temu prilagodila in tako kot država leta 2050 tudi obstala.
