In 2040, we are paying much more attention to environmental and climate issues. We are also feeling the changes on our own skin - we are not able to cool our homes and workplaces to comfortable temperatures because we do not have enough electricity to do so. We work much less than we do today. 5x8h / week is a thing of the past, now we work 3 days a week, we have more time for self-development, volunteering, taking care of the neighborhood. We are facing great migratory pressure. Further we don't know what to do about it. Every country has its own idea about it.

In 2040 I would like Europe to finally be a federal state, with salaries aligned between countries, a common defence, a common green deal spending and a single administrative/migrant flow policy and economy. Finally there will be no more thermal engines but only pure electric and hydrogen

In 2040, Europe became a country in its own right and a great nation respected and listened to by others. It faces ecological challenges and adapts to climate change. AI has evolved to the point of being integrated into the political world and ensures a balance throughout the country through reasoned choices! Mobility has also changed significantly: our vehicles are no longer limited to roads only and are no longer necessarily grounded! driving is automatic, which solves the problem of accident-related mortality! Wars have ceased and the world, in the face of radical climate change , is set to reverse the trend... our concrete cities are greening, and the population is becoming aware of the fauna and flora. Space explorations are finally coming to Mars and a station is being created on this planet to welcome the next astronauts.

J'aimerais que le futur ressemble légèrement au passé. Qu'on se soit aperçu que la nouvelle technologie ai trop changer notre vie. Qu'on revienne à une vie plus traditionnel, avec les enfants qui jouent entre eux plutôt que tout le temps dans leurs smartphone. Que les prix des produits baisse au lieu de sans cesse augmenter....
