Greece 2040... After many years people are happy and optimistic. At last the reins of the country have been taken over by people who want the good of the country and work for it. All those who plagued the country are in jail and an air of freedom is blowing over the country. Education is flourishing. New modern schools, children smiling as school is no longer boring. Learning is now a joy, and beyond general knowledge they can delve into whatever else interests them. The economy is growing. Citizens are working and living with dignity and security, without anxiety about tomorrow. They do not have to be away from morning till night to meet bills and obligations. They have all the free time they need to be with their family and friends, to pursue their interests and to feel good about themselves.

I hope that Europe and the world have freed themselves from the current shift to the right and fascist tendencies and that we live in an open world. A world in which minorities are not excluded and threatened, but welcomed with open arms. A world without homophobia, racism, ableism and other forms of discrimination. A world in which people who need protection get it.

In this future world, there will be no more wars and violence. All people live happily together and are there for the weak. In this new world, there will be no need for police officers or prisons. Just as there will be no more weapons in the future. All people are simply peaceful because the criminal gene has been removed. No one will have to be afraid or worried about anything anymore.

In 2040, there will be more renewable, clean energy sources, cities will be greener and predominantly electric, self-driving vehicles will be on the road. People will distance themselves more from each other and meet mainly in the metaverse, local retail will hardly exist anymore, as VR and AI will make online shopping even more of an experience and, above all, more convenient, as you will no longer have to leave the house.
