For almost three years, I have been one of the first colonists to live on Mars. After 2025, planet Earth will suffer unprecedented ecological disasters, not helped by worsening overpopulation. In 2035, the Earth's population will have exceeded 12 billion, so some people will have had to leave in search of new habitable worlds.
The journey to Mars took six months and was extremely physically and mentally demanding. Perhaps we colonists can avoid all the mistakes humanity made on Earth. Maybe Mars will one day become a new Earth where humanity can start again.

The future would be colourful and varied, with respect, empathy and communication being the main themes in society. The environment would not be filled with competition, beauty and perfection, but with the individuality of the individual. There would be a shift from materialism to minimalism, people would be accepted as they are. Society would want to address the ecological crisis head-on.
