Of all the periods in history, I've been lucky enough to live in the best in the best place. Born 5 years after World War II, I have seen development only go forward (almost) in a world without war in the part where I grew up and had my family, work and retirement life. I have been so lucky. I wish for my descendants to experience the same: that although the world order is forever different, that world leaders will succeed in following a path of greater understanding and insight into the world, and that they make sure to "turn the tables" before making crucial decisions with life-changing consequences for the people of the world.
The task as it appears in this study is described far too narrowly. As a society today, we cannot take a narrow view of what is good for Denmark, because we are deeply dependent on what happens in the world around us. We must create common solutions on a global level for everything from technology and health to education and climate action. This will be crucial to ensure that we have a world that we in Denmark can see ourselves in in the future. At the moment, the road there seems long and bumpy.
