Something that is incredibly important to me is environment and animal rights.
I would love to see more efforts towards recycling, and have paid recycling incentives for people. Right now you can take the glass beer bottles back to be recycled and get 2czk for each, it would be amazing if the same could be done for paper and other recyclable materials. That would encourage people to recycle more.
I would love to see more efforts put towards having charity events that fund companies which help endangered animals. More government organized incentives and events to help our environment. It could also be great to have events where people can take some clothing that is about to be sent to landfills and upcycle it, maybe also have more clothes that are thrown away from fast fashion clothing stores be donated to those in need here and around the world.
It could also be beneficial to have a small class in schools that teaches about the environment, how recycling works, and actionable steps everyone can take to be environmentally friendly.

Where we're at

It's now 2040 and so much has changed since 15 years ago in 2025. Transport has changed so much as there are no longer any petrol or diesel cars, electric is the only option fuel option available since 2035. Another visible change is the abolition of landline telephones, all communication is through mobile networks and most people watch television on portable devices, the concept of the television set in the corner is long forgotten. The workplace has also been transformed with the increase in the amount of hybrid working and full time home working supported by the increase in data centres and the reducing cost of technology, storage and proliferation of AI world-wide.

Drugačna prihodnost

We used to go to school, but now it's unthinkable because we are home-schooled. Our teacher is artificial intelligence. We don't know cars anymore, now we go by air and we can travel 30km in 10 minutes. Slow trains at 150km/h are no more, now we drive at a minimum of 300km/h. There are no longer live employees in petrol stations and local restaurants, there are robots and self-service checkouts. There is a lack of emotional intelligence. People are emotionless everyone is in a hurry.. life used to be nicer, and children used to play outside now I don't see any anymore.

Better than expected

Oh in 2040, will I still be on this planet ... hopefully. AI will have made further and further inroads. The restless and hectic world of big politics will hopefully have calmed down. And very importantly, there is peace on this earth, the environmental problems are in the process of being solved. Naive as I am, I also believe that the migration issue has been resolved. Politics as a whole has accepted all the challenges and is telling people the truth. Bureaucracy has been massively reduced!!!! I will be able to live on my pension. but the most important thing: POPULISM IS DEAD AND THERE IS PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a time when everyone has let go of their anger. Where everyone has understood that closing borders and piling up wealth is bad. We have peace and prosperity by helping each other. No one is allowed to escape their obligations to the population, to avoid paying taxes by fleeing to another country. A Europe where we can look forward with hope and believe in better times!
