The future in 2040 I would like to see marked by a return to traditional values and a European economy at the forefront and not lagging behind as it is today. The Europe of 2040 I would like to see united in its liberal and democratic values, but aware of external threats such as political Islam and the threat of immigration with no interest in integrating into these European values. In 2040 Europe should have made a strong bet on increasing birth rates of the native/indigenous population to reverse the demographic winter and, coupled with that, a variety of housing access policies to make it easier for families to live in some economic comfort. Less capitalism, less consumerism, less individualism with people living with fewer things because they don't need to have houses full of objects and closets overflowing with clothes they don't use (and don't need) I would like people to use their cars less, even do without them at all, using instead public transportation (which should be efficient and free) or the bicycle, which is also good for them because it gets some exercise. I would like children to be made responsible and independent already, to be able to get around on their own and help with household chores because the load should no longer be only on women but divided among everyone in the family.
