Fifteen years ago, most of the people of Europe were pessimistic about the environment and the looming climate catastrophe looked so real and imminent. But now in 2040, a glimmer of hope is emerging because the European nations got united and led the world in combating global warming. Now the waste management system has improved by leaps and bounds, recycling is a lot better, fossil fuels are replaced almost entirely by more sustainable alternatives, more trees are planted which resulted in more wildlife. These are the major improvements which the people of the world thought were impossible to make. Yet here we are enjoying a lot better climate which will only improve now that more people are united in making this planet more habitable for us and the future generations.
