To think that we are already in 2040! But very satisfied with the advances in Medicine and the improvements in Public Health. With my 90s, I have prosthetics everywhere, in the hip, in the knee, in the elbow and what do I know more. A perfect denture, by the courtesy of the Social Security. Nothing hurts. My health is perfect. But, I want to choose to die. That's what I want in my future. Choose dignified, lawful, regulated death, without being sick. Sitting in my armchair, in front of the movie screen. A documentary, for example, about the Iguazu Falls. And finish sweetly, without knowing it.

I want to see EU as a strong, technologycally advanced society. It should be much more connected (common military, foreign policy, strong and efficient central government), able to deal efficiently with problems like climate change, immigration strategy,social justice, health care and many more problems that we have today. I would definitely like to see much less dependence on US, with relations on equal terms instead. It would grant a society of wealth and therefore less tensions.

In 2040, it would be nice to have more freedom, more joy, more happiness, more hope and more empathy and understanding. No differences, no racism, sexism, or anything like that. No hatred in general. I cannot put into words how much I want this. Equality for all. That is my hope, my wish. If it comes true in 2040, when I'm gone, I'll still be happy as a ghost.
There are no wars in the world.
Nature is in harmony and people are respectful of it.
There has been a major rethink, mindfulness in dealing with each other has become normal.
Money is better distributed around the world, salary differences have become smaller. Life, housing etc. has become cheaper... You can afford more
There is peace in the world, hunger has been conquered and poverty no longer exists. Energy production is based on CO2-free sources and climate change has been halted. Global migration movements are limited because the economy in the original countries of origin is being rebuilt, corruption has been abolished and democratically elected governments exist.
