For a better sustainable governance in Europe and in the World

In 2040, the world will be a completely different place: climate change and biodiversity loss will have huge consequences on the societies in "third world countries", but also in industrialized countries with higher standard of living. Droughts, the rising of sea levels and forests fires will have a major impact on the world's GDP. This is why the United Nations will decide to suggest an upheaval of its climate governance: the outcomes of the Conference of the Parties (COPs) based on the UNFCCC will be binding. The IPCC will have a bigger role of advisors. The International Monetary Funds (IMF) will be turned into a "climate bank" on the model of the European Investment Bank and will lend money to countries which suffer the most from climate change. This money will tackle asymmetric schocks and will be used for climate change mitigation projects. Finally, all the major UN agencies, like the World Trade Organization, will work closer together to abide by the UN sustainability goals.

In Europe, a more integrated Europe will be a leader on the world stage to underpin this new climate governance. The European Green Deal will enable the EU to turn its economy into a greener one with very high value added. Thanks to comprehensive policies related to the development of renewable energies, energy efficiency and mitigation of greenhouse gases, the objective of climate neutrality is within reach by 2050. A European government with a stronger European Parliament will a have a decisive say on the global climate governance and will push for more ambitious policies throughout the world. The possibility of imposing sanctions to countries which don't respect the principles of the climate governance.

Those massive changes would have never happened without the huge mobilization of the civil society all around the world, not only in Europe and North America, but also in mediatically less exposed countries in Africa, Asia, and Oceania.

Мирен свят!
I want the continent to be peaceful! No wars and all people to live in peace. I would love it if all countries in Europe were part of the EU and NATO or other economic and military alliances, and traded freely with each other, and did not screw each other over! I want an economically strong EU, secure countries, people working for a strong EU and a normal and free business environment! I want good education, tolerance between people and impartial media! I want my children to grow up in a free Europe without aggression and without fear - neither of other countries and dictators, nor of corruption within countries and the EU. I want everyone to be able to choose where to live and work - to move freely within the European Union, to be able to do business in any EU country. Perhaps a good idea is to have a United States of Europe - like the US - with a common government, army and so on. I want to be able to actively participate in the life of Europe! I want to see a Europe with an independent united army to protect us, with common laws and without corruption, racism and intolerance. This is the future I want!

Ha még élek...
It's true that I'll be old enough by then, if I live to see it, but I'm confident that it will be easier for me to travel to other European countries and not have to worry about living expenses. I hope that I will be able to live on my pension and even save some of it. The health care situation in Hungary will improve so much that it will be able to deal effectively with my health problems as I get older, and I will not have to feel like an unnecessary burden when I go to the doctor or hospital. I will spend a lot of time with my family and I will also have time to pursue my hobbies. I will be able to have an environmentally friendly heating system in my house and I will be able to afford environmentally friendly transport. I hope to have the energy to cultivate my garden and to provide my family with eggs and meat from my own poultry.

We live in a dry society, with no cars and no irons. Technology has advanced, self-driving cars are becoming common, people are more and more using public transport, they are sowing, they are guarding the countryside... Food is plentiful, lives are not being killed for food. Lives do not stop for puppets anymore, they have a happy home. There are no unwanted fighters, they are all wanted, chosen and happy. They also have a home and a future to live in, and they are happy to have a place to live.

Technology has advanced to an extreme degree, replacing humans in many areas. Such as factories and various businesses. In this way our lives may be made easier but unemployment is rising because we have robots doing the work of humans.
