Technology has made yet another advance. The battery has developed to higher capacity even solar cells have higher efficiency. This means that more cars can be electric.
AI can now be used by the common man, which means that light diseases can be taken care of yourself.
Much of the care will take place at home.
Unfortunately, the world will remain uncertain. We will see more ego-tripped leaders who want to show their power. Egoism will flourish on several levels. No democracy as we see it today in 2025.

The food gets cheaper and more qualitative. They stop adding unknown cemicals to food. They allow people who have farms or orchards to sell products off the field. There is a sugar quota… they add less sugar everywhere and ban some of the more unhealthy sugary things like sodas. The fitness centres are available to everyone and can be subscribed for as long as one wants and not binding people to them for half a year or more.

I think in 2040, technological advances will make medicine move forward. New techniques to diagnose diseases, AI technology to support doctors, or being the entity that treats. New types of therapies, drugs to increase the chance of a healthy convenient long life. Cancer will become a weaker opponent. Although the prognosis is not optimistic, there is hope that the number of health care workers will increase.
Utopia
I envision a world where common sense prevails, where there is respect for every living thing, for animals, plants and nature in general. Where everyone can satisfy basic needs. Where the word materialism no longer exists and money loses importance. I hope for a world where the word cancer is no longer scary

That everyone would have a job and a roof over their heads and be able to eat their fill.
That there will be no more famine or sick children anywhere in the world.

My perfect future would be a world where everyone could live in peace.
