I will most likely not be around in 2050 but hope for my grandchildren that the current doomsday scenario will not come true but that they can live in a world of peace with clean air and nature. Hopefully by then Europe will not have turned into a caliphate or taken over by the Chinese. With any luck, the Russian government will have finally realized that aggression does not pay and common sense will prevail and they will also not have started a nuclear war that would lead to the destruction of the world. One has been able to successfully implement nuclear fusion by 2050 with limitless energy possibilities without nasty emissions and nuclear waste allowing us to get rid of all the landscape polluting windmills and solar farms and everything drives and runs on green hydrogen or electricity. In the fish can again swim unhindered in the North Sea. The tedious and dirty work will be performed by robots and everyone can enjoy their many free hours because the work week will be only 25 hours because of this robotization. People can also enjoy their children again because they will have enough time to keep them busy and no longer have to dump them in daycare. In fact, there will be plenty of time to do fun things and raise them into right-thinking new generations. How wonderful that would be or would it still be daydreaming?
