In harmony

We are living in harmony with nature, with each other, with ourselves. How did it come to this? Money and technology were ruling the world, extracting the resources exponentially and destroying plants, animals, soil, air... It seemed that this approach to economy could not be changed, that everything was geared towards exploiting the Earth to the maximum. People were under the spell of technology, immersed into virtual worlds, virtual networks, virtual communication. Yet, there was rage building up, against the wealthy elites, against the political establishment and the capitalist structures. People started resenting the technology, media, AI, social networks, considering them manipulation tools of the elites. A movement started paradoxically through the social networks, to ditch the technology, ignore the media and ads, revert to more tribal ways of life, exchanging goods and services, communicating and building communities with neighbours, friends, relatives. In some places, there were outright revolutions against the rich, storming the mansions, hacking their bank accounts and burning entire marinas with expensive yachts... Some governments anticipated these shifts and revamped their fiscal systems to reflect the need for human and natural wellbeing, restricting wealth. Those were a very few lucky nations that avoided destruction and bloodshed. It took some years for people to realise what they were missing and what they were searching - closeness with others, with nature, with themselves, without the interference of technology, material goods, virtual realities. With economic systems in shatters, people had to roll up their sleeves again and work hard for their livelihoods, appreciating what nature and their fellow human beings could provide. Hopefully the future will bring new improved models of human conscience so that this life in harmony can be preserved and appreciated, without going through yet another round of rage, destruction and tears.

I think that European life and people in 2040 will be completely different from what they are today. I will in principle be 86 years old, and I believe that if I go out again I will no longer recognise the places I know as they are today. With the immigration of people from communities and religions different from ours, which is growing at a very high rate, it will be necessary to share work and wealth so that everyone lives decently and intelligently. But can I still say that the future of the generations of my children, grandchildren and others anguish me a lot, and that I am not the only one who thinks so?

Utopia is important because it allows us to hope ... Let's imagine! it's spring and the small flowers, violets, pikelets, blueberries, worries..., decorate our gardens without pesticides, without fertilizer because the soil, well worked for years no longer needs all these artificial aids. And children, teenagers run into this garden. They are at peace, they are good because their parents have instilled in them the essential rules of life in society. And the school has trained them by teaching them, not, ready-made formulas that it is enough to know by heart, no, by giving them the opportunity to train in everyday life with the help of the oldest who share their knowledge. And on their plates, at meals, they eat vegetables grown near their homes by responsible farmers. No more ready-made dishes bought in the super markets, almost all of which have disappeared or, at the very least, have changed the way they sell... Utopia!!

Autonom fahren
I would love to be able to drive autonomously. This would be especially important for older people from the country, as there are often no shops and doctors there anymore. So you can participate in life even with physical or mental limitations. In addition, the traffic is unraveling, there are fewer traffic jams, the traffic is more fluid and there are fewer accidents.

I want a united Europe, not wars or wars. The gap between rich and poor should be very close. There would have to be enough living space, whether for rent or property. Politicians should not only look four years into the future and block everything beforehand. More attention should be paid to the environment, renewable energies, stable prices. Enough doctors and hospitals.
