To be honest, the future seems dark right now: climate change is becoming increasingly unpredictable and severe; international relations are becoming more and more intense; Politicians and scientists, not to mention the public, are buy-inable; against this backdrop, tensions are growing within nations and even smaller communities. But the question remains as to what could be better in the future. I'll focus on that. In 2040, the world could once again be calm and strongly deplorable of bloody military conflicts. Political decisions could be guided by empathy towards one's own people and those of strangers, not by the wallets of selfish billionaires. Everyone should have the right and freedom to democratically elect their leaders and to feel protected by any political power. The human body, sexuality, race and religion could be inviolable from politics. Instead of empowering themselves internationally, national bodies could focus on supporting and nurturing their people, their communities. In 2040, communities could find more trust and contact with each other, either by growing food together, occupying common cultural spaces, or spending free time together (young with the old, straight with homosexuals, poorer with the richest).
