I want a future where there are no wars, where people are able to live in dignity, where they can have a roof over their heads and where they are not cheap. I imagine a life without politicians who have a taste for blood and capitalism. I also imagine a green life, so that we do not destroy this planet.

So Europe in 2040. I would like to see much more cooperation and much less lying. I will talk about that a little later. A green future, of course, but not at any price, a much slower and actually environmentally friendly transition. This is particularly true of the car industry and the jobs in it. I predict that in 2040 a lot of transport will be by air, so cheaper, faster, safer and preferably with minimal refreshment. Ideally, less should be spent on defence, because that automatically means human lives, and deterrence is a children's story. This is where corporations play a much bigger role than politics. So they need to be controlled and restrained. And the money spent on defence should be invested in social welfare and, of necessity, in research and development. Now, about lying. It worries me when the President of the EU, a person in whom I am supposed to have complete confidence, publicly states that, say, Russia is harvesting electronics from washing machines in order to train its army. That the newspapers show a diametrically opposite picture of what is happening on the battlefield. That the EU has lost a great deal from the sanctions against Russia and nothing to gain. I could go on and on. I believe, however, that the evolution of man has not ended, that the man of the future will be more tolerant, that he will erase all the hatreds within him, that he will be open to everyone and anyone. This will not happen by 2040, not even by 2140, but it is already happening. The question that arises is...will there still be a 2040 for us...

Eu is seen not as one country, but as one unit. Nott divided by borders, but bound together by land. Instead of moving toward silos, goods are flowing freely between the countries, improving living standards, economies, and development exponentially. Transportations are eco friendly and connected between countries. EU is is the leading force in the world.

Wir haben als Menschheit den Klimawandel gerade noch gestoppt, nun gilt es gemeinsam sich gegen die natürlich immer noch bestehenden Starkwetterereignisse, getaute Gletscher und gestiegene Meere zu schützen. Zum Glück wurden 2035 alle Kriege auf der Erde gestoppt und die Völker sind endlich zusammengerückt. Autokratien, Diktatoren und Herrscher, wie sie in der Vergangenheit Gang und gebe waren wurden abgeschafft um sich auf die Menschheitsziele der SDG der UN zu konzentrieren. Auch wurde das kapitalistische Wirtschaftssystem weltweit angepasst, zum Wohle aller Menschen, dies führte zwar zu etwas geringerem materiellen Wohlstand, doch habe die Menschen erkannt, dass es wichtigeres im Leben gibt als Geld, das de facto ja nur ein Tauschmittel ist. Es bleibt eine Menge zu tun, den 100 Jahre wurden verpennt.
