Permanent world peace has been achieved. Political leaders have agreed that we respect each other's land and sovereignty, so we no longer need weapons against each other. The money saved has been used to tackle climate change and stop the rise in temperatures. Waste collection and recycling has also reached a level where it is beginning to look as if the earth's carrying capacity will last into the next century after all. Income inequalities have been levelled out, both in Finland and globally. We have found new ways of employing young people, for example through longer apprenticeships. Society continues to take care of the disadvantaged, but also by better integrating them. There is no ageism, neither for young people nor for seniors. This is how we can extend working careers. Work will be increasingly independent of time and place, so there will be no need to move in search of work, and we will keep Finland populated to the extent that it makes sense. People's mutual care, community spirit and altruism have increased and selfishness has disappeared. Finland is still the happiest nation in the world, but also the most knowledgeable. Learning and education have risen in value, and in return, culture and art are also valued.

Civilization has not collapsed—it has been restored.
In 2040, the world has returned to its roots. Families are strong again, with men as providers, earning fair wages for a four-hour workday—enough to support their loved ones comfortably. There is no more endless striving, no exhausting rat race. Life moves at a natural rhythm. Consumerism has been replaced by mindful living. People buy only what they need, and nothing is wasted. Food is grown by local communities, free from corporate control. Every family has a home, built with care, not mass-produced for profit. The sprawling, soulless cities of the past are gone, replaced by self-sufficient villages where neighbors know and support each other. With less work and more time, people reconnect—with nature, with tradition, with family. Children grow up with their mothers at home, learning real values. The world is simpler, freer, and more human. Civilization has not collapsed—it has been restored.

Poliitiline heaolu
In 2040, the political situation in my country could be very different. All projects funded with taxpayers' money would be public, and there would be no corruption or profiteering. Also, by 2040, the use to which all tax revenues are put could be clearly known, and these taxes should also improve people's lives - for example, fuel excise duty or car tax should ensure that roads are in good condition and seasonally maintained.

In the future, I want there to be a focus on having a healthy and attractive work environment, with opportunities for all people, where you develop as the person you are. There will be a strong focus on young people getting a good education as they did in the happy 80s, when people learned to write by hand and not on digital media... That we forget AI and return to the days when we talked together mentally and not through social media. Taking care of the elderly in nursing homes and making sure they had a good time after a long working life where they had contributed a lot of money to society. A world where Mette Frederiksen and Corona had never existed. Back to Mogens Glistrup and Anker Jørgensen.

Zelená budoucnost
In 2040, I would like to see a world where there is more balance between technology and nature. People would use modern technology to protect the environment instead of destroying it. For example, smart cities would have green roofs, vertical gardens and energy self-sufficient buildings. Transport would be green - electric and hydrogen cars would replace combustion engines. Public transport would be fast, convenient and accessible to all. Healthcare would be more advanced with artificial intelligence to help diagnose diseases. People would have greater access to quality education, regardless of their background or financial situation. Society would be more focused on mental health, and people would have more time for family and personal development. My ideal world in 2040 would be sustainable, just and harmonious.
