2040 ? That would make me 86 years old. So that future should be based on the idea of my full health and also the full health of my loved ones and actually the whole family and the whole society. I expect that it should be in a time of peace and full prosperity of society. In 15 years, not much will change in peacetime in general, we will have new cars, hopefully still fossil fuel powered. In Ostrava the first metro line will be opened, in Brno they will still be arguing about where to build the main station. Josef Mužík's grandson will find the treasure of Štěchovice and get fabulously rich. Thanks to this, he will invest massively in the development of a cure for cancer and in 2040 this cure will be distributed worldwide. There will be more and more migrants from Germany who will be actively involved in society, have their own associations, their own political parties and slowly participate in government and governance. Politicians will continue to take credit for the development of society, environmentalists will continue to strut around and present us with plans for a beautiful green future. There will be regular discount promotions on over-the-counter light drugs in Alberta. Security and national defence will be provided by a volunteer force under the command of Mark Benda. Thieves will still steal in the same way, probably more sophisticated and with more use of politicians, that's just the way it is in the Czech Republic and it will still be normal in 2040...

In my future vision, people are no longer indifferent. They look out for each other. I hope out of all the world woes this will come. Americans are now making conscious contact with Europeans. I hope this continues. And that we come back from the far-right. This is not good, migrants can actually contribute a lot. Namely knowledge and wisdom of the country of origin. And with citizen groups we can really achieve something

Airport of future

In 2040 there will be airports with train like qualities to them. Where there will be no need to queue for hours in security lines or arrive set times before flights. This will be done through automated scanners that detect instantly whether the correct protocol has been followed

Manas laimīgās vecumdienas.

The world is at peace. All bloody conflicts are over. People care about preserving the planet's ecosystem. We are producing less and less useless products. We are learning how to use resources. Wisely and usefully. We sort our waste carefully and recycle most of it. We use mostly energy resources. We use sustainable methods_ hydro, solar, wind. We also prioritise our own health while fighting for a healthy environment. I spend a lot of time by the sea in the summer, going for long walks and skiing in the winter through the snow-covered forest. My grandchildren are grown up and do not require much care. So I feel content to enjoy a happy old age. I devote a lot of time to my hobbies - gardening and travelling. The flowers in my garden are blooming and the tomatoes are coming up. I travel not too far, but slowly, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of European countries. The most important thing is to take care of your health and the health of your loved ones. The authorities have realised this and health care is becoming more and more accessible and not fantastically expensive.

Amélioration des qualités de vie

Quality of life has improved. Noise has disappeared from built-up areas thanks to electric vehicles, with much less pollution and more fluidity. People are more courteous and less touchy thanks to these improvements. Safety has improved, as penalties are more repressive. All breaches of the rules of etiquette and good citizenship are corrected in re-education centers.
