2040 ? That would make me 86 years old. So that future should be based on the idea of my full health and also the full health of my loved ones and actually the whole family and the whole society. I expect that it should be in a time of peace and full prosperity of society. In 15 years, not much will change in peacetime in general, we will have new cars, hopefully still fossil fuel powered. In Ostrava the first metro line will be opened, in Brno they will still be arguing about where to build the main station. Josef Mužík's grandson will find the treasure of Štěchovice and get fabulously rich. Thanks to this, he will invest massively in the development of a cure for cancer and in 2040 this cure will be distributed worldwide. There will be more and more migrants from Germany who will be actively involved in society, have their own associations, their own political parties and slowly participate in government and governance. Politicians will continue to take credit for the development of society, environmentalists will continue to strut around and present us with plans for a beautiful green future. There will be regular discount promotions on over-the-counter light drugs in Alberta. Security and national defence will be provided by a volunteer force under the command of Mark Benda. Thieves will still steal in the same way, probably more sophisticated and with more use of politicians, that's just the way it is in the Czech Republic and it will still be normal in 2040...

If you hitchhike without stress, you get better health, which will be an economic benefit for the state. Power and greed have become unfashionable and it has been realized that life is too short for wars and enmity.

In 2040, my child will be 19 years old and travelling in an increasingly borderless Europe, on a comprehensive and fast rail network around the world. From the train window, the budding forest planting projects, both in the cities and in the countryside, are flashing by. Grasslands have also already been mainly restored as meadows or forests. Solar panels and windmills flash on the horizon. Cities are home to an increasingly multicultural population whose existence is measured not by production value or income but by a happiness barometer.

I wish/hope for better health and thus welfare in the future. It is both that there is better health and health care, ie both prevention and healing, as well as more information on what you can do yourself. The school system needs more 'practical' learning - about food, health, living conditions and welfare (psychological) etc. Working life must be rethought/restructured - utilization of AI - so that the work is distributed among those who can work, thus lower working hours and more flexibility with home workplace, possibly different job functions (eg: you are both head of one area, but assistant etc. in another) - more equality in working life and economy. Out with cars - free public transportation and better infrastructure as a result. Optimization of living conditions - e.g. healthy food is cheaper, unhealthy 'food' is more expensive, better exercise is less expensive (surely this requires subsidy schemes?) - so people are happier and have more surplus. changing housing types so there are more communities. Lots of dreams and most of it feels like utopia - unfortunately I don't believe any of this will have happened by 2024 (maybe something in the school system) - because governments focus more on money and prestige projects than the things people need most
