Jutro je počelo uz zvuk melodije koja nije dolazila iz alarma, već iz ugrađenog asistenta u ogledalu. Ogledalo me pozdravilo i prikazalo vremensku prognozu, plan dana i moju razinu stresa, savjetujući kratku meditaciju.

Dok sam oblačila svoju pametnu odjeću, ona se prilagođavala temperaturi i svjetlosnim uvjetima. Kuhinja je bila spremna – robot-kuhar pripremio je savršen smoothie prema mojim nutritivnim potrebama koje je analizirao prošli tjedan.

Na posao sam krenula letećim kapsulama koje lebde iznad grada. Prometne gužve bile su stvar prošlosti, a vrijeme putovanja koristila sam za čitanje članka na virtualnoj stvarnosti. Stigla sam u zgradu s ekosustavom koji reciklira sav otpad i koristi solarnu energiju.

Na poslu sam se spojila na kolektivnu mrežu. Nismo više koristili tastature ni ekrane – svi podaci prenose se mislima putem neuralnih veza. U pauzi sam prošetala kroz digitalni park gdje su hologrami biljaka i ptica stvarali osjećaj prirode.

I have grown older. Together with my partner, I fulfilled my dream of building another house - after all, there was still room in the garden of the old house!
