Lepšia budúcnosť

"By 2040, we will have made society completely fossil-free. The countries of the world have finally realised what needs to be done and have taken responsibility. In Sweden, investments in fossil-free steel and cement have also led to changes in the way we build and develop cities and communities. Biodiversity in both urban and rural areas has been strengthened. Forests are being cared for and used sustainably. We continue to drive, but without emissions and with reduced impact on nature and people. But it is not entirely without problems. Traffic accidents, congestion, road wear and tear and more continue to be a burden. Health problems are only slowly improving. The joint action of the countries around the Baltic Sea is finally having an impact, and we look to the future with some confidence.

Over 20 jaar
In 2040 I am now 43 years old. I assume that I now have a nice house somewhere in a tree / natural area. In the next twenty years I will continue to grow considerably in my work and the marketing world will look different. It will be even more digital, but I really hope that we go back to the basics. More physical and practical things in life such as learning to sew, craft, embroider, knit, maintain vegetable garden, cook, bake. Less TV, mobile, overly advanced technology, square cars, skyscrapers etc.

Sérénité, écologiques et dynamique
I would like the future in 2040 in Europe to be more supportive of people disturbed by climate change!!! Let wars stop and bring stability to the governance of Europe. That ecology reigns partly political in the majority of countries and that Russia stops oppression towards its neighboring countries!!!

Tulevaisuuden utopia
There is peace in Europe, and Russia has been closed and isolated, and war criminals have been removed. Borders are open in an enlarged EU, and high-speed trains run clean and energy-efficient between major cities. Nature has started to improve and an agreement on emissions and warming has been reached that respects nature. Religions have moved into the background of life, and multiculturalism and diversity have been accepted throughout Europe. People do not live for money, but a good quality of life is available to Europeans. Everyone is guaranteed a safe life and education. There is no need for social support because the EU takes care of its citizens and everyone understands the importance of the common good. Education and training have changed from the pursuit of self-interest to the achievement of the common good.

A better world - but not realistic
Against all odds humankind decided to actually take climate change serious and change the way we think of how to co-exist with the planet. Now, if you go into the supermarket meats are considered a rare luxury, only for special occasions. People are also healtiher as high taxes on sugar, tobacco, alcohol and processed food, mean more people have learned to cook again. Economic growth is not as high anymore, but we can live with that. Right to repair has been enforced and people are encouraged to interact. Daily limits on social media has helped manage misinformation and echo chambers.
