I'm over 80 years old. Yes, health is no longer praised, but mental abilities are preserved. It's gone as I hoped. I'm not a burden to my family, I have a place in a communal home, and I like it there. Life is exactly what I want - there are people with whom to communicate, the opportunity to go to the sea every day (if I move poorly, I still manage to do it) in addition to modern opportunities for communication with children and grandchildren.
My biggest concerns about how a grandchild with special needs and a child with a chronic disease can cope - they have been resolved. There are so many new solutions in healthcare and social life.
It seems like a utopia, but politics is few and more people's own opinion about how to live. These twenty years have very nicely influenced our perceptions - it doesn't matter what I own only in people-to-people relationships. We're no longer stockpiling, we're getting along with less, we're happy to share. The reason is probably also modern technology - the opportunity to travel, communicate interactively.
Yes, servers take more pure nature, but we've besieged ourselves and the land isn't digging up to find gold, oil shale and oil, etc. There's plenty to reuse. From time to time, I think about the terrible dumps of the past and it gets bad.
It's good that I have my own shrub in this common house to observe and still have this clean and undulating sea!
