The way to the future: Day in 2050

One sunny morning in the summer of 2050, Eva woke up in her cozy, eco-designed house in Bratislava. Over the past 25 years, Europe has changed beyond recognition. From 2025 until now, big cities have turned into green metropolises full of parks and community gardens. The air was clean, the traffic was electrified, and all the buildings were energy self-sufficient.

Eva put on a lightweight and comfortable suit made of recycled materials and went to work on her electric bike. Thanks to 5G technology and artificial intelligence, she had a very flexible job and solved most of the tasks from home. Today, however, she had a scheduled meeting with colleagues at a recently opened research centre.

Along the way, she noticed how people used smart benches to charge their devices, and how children played in a virtual park where they could participate in interactive educational games. This generation had access to education and information like never before.

One of the biggest changes Eve observed was an increased awareness of sustainability and cooperation. European countries have come together to achieve climate goals and promote peace. In 2050, Eva lived in Europe, where people cared for each other and their planet, and this filled her with great hope for the future.
