In 2040, society could have reached common sense. With AI, excessive government spending has been cut and bureaucracy reduced and processes accelerated. Governments are more transparent and corruption is reduced. Less power for public authorities and more say for citizens. No more excessive taxes and restrictions on people's rights. There are no climate taxes or quotas to fill. Because the technology is sufficiently advanced, the wars are over. People have cooperation as a goal, not to be better and stronger than others. The emphasis is on the family model, which is advocated and supported by the state. Children's education is more about children's skills and interests, not about general level and that everything is the same as in the Soviet era. In the catering sector, the aim is to provide healthy food, not to chase profits. All decisions are made from the point of view of whether or not it makes a person's life healthier and more fulfilling. The focus is not on things, but on experiences, relationships and health. Not imposing the mixing of peoples on countries and letting countries and peoples be what they are and preserve their culture. The first humans have already been to Mars and humanity is interested in exploring and discovering space.

People are living in smaller worlds again. Are self-sufficient and less dependent big corporations and world powers. People are concerned with their own world and are content and happy here. Are not concerned with others. The world runs entirely on renewable energy sources. The threat of war and discontent is gone.

I'm still alive in 2040. Despite my old age, despite my heart failure and my multiple frailties. Thanks to advances in gene therapy in particular. The world has changed, in a much more favorable sense than I could have imagined in 2025. The dictatorial excesses that we saw then multiply, to the point of resigning themselves to the inevitable, the third world war, have one after the other disappeared in five years: Putin was swept away in Russia, Trump was impeached for proven mental illness, and new early elections brought more reasonable people back to power, Xi was overthrown in China, and the new leaders instituted true democracy in this huge country, Milei resigned and entered the convent... We build more vertical cities, healthier, accessible to all, and the multiple public transport, electric and hydrogen, almost free, circulate without noise throughout the territory... But it is probably time for me to wake up: I had to force it on the chamomile last night.

In 2040, I would like the future to be better in terms of inclusion and to live better together with people but also the planet. Progress is really useful to people without being a brake or a threat. I would like people no longer to be so divided about politics and society by remembering that we are all the same and that we are all human beings above all else. I would like minorities to be accepted and no longer discriminated against. I would like the disability to be better taken into account so that people are more helped in order to maintain at best in the semblance of normal life. I would like a better health system with really useful consultations of necessary length, reducing expectations and with diagnoses that arrive faster. Finally, I would like AI to be perfectly controlled and regulated so that they are no longer a threat regarding fake news or the hijacking of images that could only concern stars. I also want AI to be an ally, not a substitute for humans. It must also not make teaching obsolete and solve the problem that students do their homework with, by foolishly copying and learning nothing. Also, the planet is protected and progress does not encroach on it because we will have realized that it is also a matter of national security, health and that it is a cost not to protect it (natural disaster, insurance that increases and that no longer protects against these disasters).
