In 2040, the world will look much the same as it does today, but perhaps a tad different. Climate change will force governments and supra-national organizations to finally prioritize the climate and all life on our planet. The power of money will gradually be broken and (quasi) monopolies of certain groups or people on necessary resources will create a society where inequality between people is a whole lot lower than where it is today. The biggest polluters will finance the sustainable alternatives and the biggest shoulders will bear the heaviest burden so that everyone on this planet, human and animal, can live a free life.

So many years have passed since Europe was just a collection of states each traveling on their own, now we are finally truly united and going at the same speed and with the same goals. Cultural and commercial exchanges are perfect, social and economic differences no longer exist because we are all the same and interests are global and no longer personal, we have finally realized that only by traveling at the same speed do we count for anything compared to the rest of humanity, and we have also made great strides in the field of conservation of our planet because we have realized that the future depends on us. I would like nature and biodiversity to be more present; that man should show humility to her; that there should be more solidarity and brotherhood among all and that money should no longer be at the centre of the lives of the people living on this earth.
